New Hall Hotel & Spa

We stayed here for one night to break our journey up to the North of England and we are so glad that we did. This is a wonderful hotel with friendly, attentive staff, beautiful rooms, good food and a lovely Spa area. We have stayed in other Handpicked hotels and they have all been good but this is the best. Both of us have had to do a lot of travel on business and have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world and in this country and so we are critical and can honestly say that we could not fault New Hall Hotel at all. The building and grounds are historic and full of character and well maintained. Staying away in November we are always concerned with historic hotels that the building may not be warm but the room was cosy and warm. There was a log fire burning in the lounge area and all parts of the hotel were warm and welcoming. We ate in the bar and the service, especially from the very friendly and attentive Cameron, was excellent and the food was good. We spent a couple of hours in the Spa in the afternoon which we thoroughly enjoyed, it is a small Spa but has everything you need and is well looked after and clean. All of staff in this hotel are friendly and professional. We have already booked to stay again on our next journey North in December, we are looking forward to it!
