The staff are all fantastic, they are all friendly and are there to help, we could not fault that. The only issue we had was the lack of air con but we booked regardless unbeknown to us that there was going to be a heatwave. It does get very hot in the rooms in the heat but that is inevitable as there is no air con but they do give good fans which did help. I would suggest they get an ice machine in reception to help with the heat. Overall it’s a great base to visit all parts of Cornwall and the staff are an asset to the hotel.

I have stayed here a fair few times since moving away from Cornwall. The location is great for my needs, rooms are clean and  comfortable no problem at all. What stands out for me is the staff especially Pamela, absolutely fab, they helped me recently as I had an emergency back home and couldn't stay, Pamela has a huge heart fantastic personality with her customers,  all the staff are really lovely.  I will continue to stay there every few months. I can't thank them enough for being so kind, please let them know this. Thank you, Tonya Stretch a very happy customer. 😊

Excellent staff on reception. Lovely little note from Jade who cleaned the room before I arrived. The room was spotless as well. Restaurant next door is nice and the bar staff very polite! I would advise having a car if you come here though.

Very good Stay. Comfy bed and very clean bedroom and bathroom. Good size TV and coffee and tea tray in room very welcome. (could have done with a couple more tea bags, but sure reception would have supplied if asked) Pub next door supplied good evening meal and breakfast. Always stay here whilst visiting elderly relative who lives nearby.

Carclaze pub/restaurant 2mins walk away and part of the Premier was again very good and staff brilliant

stayed here ,with my family  had a warm welcome from Gemma and she was such a lovely lady , the house keepers was also very friendly ,the two girls that was so nice and kind Louise and Natasha my son got lost around the hotel and ran into Natasha and she help him find our room notting was to much trouble for her my son said she stop what she was doing and came to his ad thank you so much to her and louise was so helpful as well ,primmer inn should be proud to have such  an amazing staff thank you ladies have a happy christmas

My family and I stayed here for one night and we were all very happy. Every member of staff was just delightful and couldn't have been more helpful, from our check-in all the way to checking out.

The rooms were very clean and beds comfy. Breakfast was fine, I really enjoyed the pancakes!

Lovely staff, conveniently placed with a great room with very comfortable bed, well placed for the Carzlake restaurant where food is inexpensive and have fabulously welcoming staff. Stayed there before and would do so again. Easy parking and good views across the countryside. Easy to travel about Cornwall as on a fairly main road.

Great base to discover Cornwall

Amazing staff.

Good hotel with easy parking, breakfast was good (got very busy later on) we had a two hour wait for food one evening but the food was good when it finally arrived and no problems the other two evening’s. Beds were comfortable (kids bed a bit hard but he slept ok) shower was usable but not equal to our power shower at home but I wouldn’t expect it to be.

We were pleasantly greeted by Janette on arrival who was very knowledgeable about places in the surrounding area to visit. The hotel was very lovely and all of the staff said hello when we entered the reception. Special mention to Cherie for providing me and my family a table at the restaurant when they were very short staffed, we're very grateful.

Kind welcoming staff

It is not often that I do leave reviews for Premier Inn - it is one of those places that just  does what it says on the tin, however I feel that my most recent experience with them (and in particular their staff) warrants merit.
My wife and I were in Cornwall for the purposes of attending a family funeral and opted for this Premier Inn for its locality to our family.  We turned up late in the day without having made a prior booking and were met by the cheerful and friendly faces of Cherie & Claire who were on duty for the evening of 18th December 2023.  From the outset they were both great - welcoming, friendly and helpful.  We had a slight issue with our room which they dealt with swiftly.  Due to their patience, compassion and desire to give us the best possible experience of staying, both my wife and I were able to have a warm, comfortable and undisturbed sleep in a spotlessly clean room.  Exactly the rest we needed before attending the funeral.
