Friendly place to stay just like staying with family and friends. So relaxing I’ve booked for another week. Plenty of hot water/ relaxing atmosphere and just a nice place to stay when your away from home. Great for working accommodation.

Stayed one night in a single room. Very adequate and the price was fair. Unfortunately I missed out on the full English as its continental at the weekends. Very clean place and really covenient for Reading Town centre. Bobby, the proprietor, is a gem and we didn't stop talking as we're both ex Forces. A really friendly, welcoming woman. I would highly recommend it and will be doing so to my Forces and  police contacts.Andy

Have stayed twice now and in different rooms. Hotel manager is great and looks after you almost like a friend. Rooms are clean, bed is comfy and showers are hot. Breakfast is fresh and cooked well. Only downside was my shower could have done with a bit of TLC as beginning to look a little tired now. Happy to stay again but are pretty busy so book early to avoid disappointment.

Good value for the price concious traveller. Yes it is worn at the edges and dated but Bobbi the absolute gem who works there, will make you feel welcome and Monday to Friday there's a fried breakfast for you. 10-15 mins to walk into town. bedding is clean and the room was warm. Not a place for a holiday but if you're after a cheap room for the night, go for it! 

From the outside I was a little concerned, but actually it’s a budget hotel that works for those one night business trips. 

It’s in easy walking distance to the Oracle, with its array of restaurants and shops (ten min walk). 

My room was on the basement level, with very little natural light and very much a box room, but it was fine. You have two shared bathrooms on each level, although there is a sink in each room. 

Most importantly the staff (one woman doing it all on her own, bless her) was pleasant and helpful. 

Breakfast was pleasant, with a fry up cooked to your request, tea, coffee, continental options and fruit. 

Would stay again. 

A good night's sleep at a fair price. I had a well-ventilated single room.The bedroom and bathroom were both clean and adequatealthough the communal areas were a bit tired. Very helpful lady met me at the door and had prepared my room for a quick drop off at 9am,  Convenient for centre. Would stay again if I return to Reading.
