We stayed one night in Bede suite and ate in the restaurant. Everything felt luxurious. Food fantastic and service impeccable.

A quick break away and stayed in the beautiful Old White Hart. 
Amazing staff and even better gardens.
The food was to a very high standard and reasonable. 
In perfect surroundings with a real British feel.

What an amazing pub! The garden is beautiful with so many flowers, could sit out there all day, it was quite a chilly evening so one of the young staff members came and put the heater on for me and even offered me a blanket. The food was perfect and so filling, their sticky date pudding is the best I have ever tried. A lovely room and the little details like the teddy bear made it feel so homely. After speaking to the staff, I found out that everything is homemade in the kitchen. The salmon is home smoked and the crisps are cut and made from the kitchen. No wonder all their meals are so filling! I will definitely be visiting again when I am close by.

Wow, what a truly wonderful stay we had last weekend. From the greeting on arrival, our large room with large bath/shower en-suite through to an excellent dinner on both nights not forgetting the breakfasts with variable choices and all overseen by Holly who lead by example.

We recently stayed here and loved it so much we have booked again. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and clean and airy. The home cooked food was also delicious. Would highly recommend. Lovely sunny beer garden to enjoy also

This is a lovely cosy B&B. The breakfast was brilliant (smoked salmon plus home made marmalade) and service excellent too. My room was very spacious, one small point - the bathroom was so hot, even though I turned off the towel rail socket the rail was still roasting. I can really recommend for business stays around Corby. I'd love to bring my wife here for a short stay to explore Rutland.

Amazing room warm and cosy spacious matteress was a little soft for me but only a little thing on the overall stay .Lovely and quiet great tea tray and shower gels handwashes etc of a great quality (john lewis)  , brilliant wifi and free and good freeview tv with good signal... overall great country cottage feel.Loved it will defo stay again

Boutique B and B with splendid restaurant in the middle of pitoresque Lyddington village. Enchanting.

Great Stay Would Recommend

We had a delightful weekend at this beautiful country hotel.It is the ideal place to recharge your batteries, quiet, well kept, our room had an excellent en suite with a walk in shower. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves excellent meals and the breakfasts are very good too.There is a well kept garden area with tables and chairs where one can relax. Uppingham and Oakham are a short drive away.We will visit again, definitely.

Very nice quaint pub in a lovely village, with friendly enough staff, open fires, low ceilings and a very nice beer garden.
We had a couple of starters that were quite disappointing, salmon and scallop thermidor was very whetherspoons and the paté was just cheap shop bought with a very dry piece of bread with frozen butter, wasn't sure what to make of it. 
We both went for the lamb rump for main and the lamb was the best bit of meat I have ever tasted! Wow! But that was it. There wasn't enough with it to make it a main. Very close to being a perfect village pub, but a few corners cut in the wrong places have let it down.

Good...

A good welcome at Old White Hart after a long journey. The small of wood fires greets you on a winters evening. We stayed in Rutland Room. Cosy, well appointed. Slightly disappointed at the sleep quality of the bed mattress. Breakfast was freshly cooked. Staff friendly. In short a very cosy rural pub with rooms. We will be back.

Brief visit to Rutland

We were here for a 70th birthday party lunch. 40 - 50 people. Lunch was fine.

We stayed over in the annex in Robin. Comfortable quirky room. Not huge but adequate. Ensuite fine. Plenty of hot water, etc.

Breakfast full English was decent. Well cooked poached eggs and very nice sausage. Plenty of coffee and toast.

Staff all friendly and efficient. 

Would happily return.

Lunch, accommodation and breakfast 

Possibly the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed at! Beautifully presented rooms, so clean and comfortable. Under floor heating in the stunning bathroom, especially appreciated as it was -4 outside. Large comfortable bed and suitably decorated with cosy cottage decor. We will definitely be returning!

Had a meal here on a Sunday evening recently. One of the few places locally to be opened on a Sunday evening. We have stayed here a couple of times in the past, earlier this year even. We had the place to ourselves and had a cosy table in the bar with a decent pint of beer, However my main course of Salmon with broccoli and new potatoes was meagre. Small piece of salmon with what could only be said were potato and broccoli garnish. Very poor and certainly the worst main course I have  eaten there. Hopefully a one off aberration.

Really lovely. Wow. Here now after the first night of a two night stay, staff are welcoming, helpful and very effective. The building and surrounds are beautiful land beautifully kept. My room is bijou but luxe, with a massive bed and all the home comforts, though I booked standard accommodation. Food is just delicious with very fast service. Couldn’t be happier with my choice to stay here!
