YHA Milton Keynes - Hostel

Had really good service here. Comfy beds. People were friendly. Showers were hot. Pub down the road had a large screen tv for the football. Not very much parking but you can park down the road off site

Very helpful service from Francis who also recommended a lovely Turkish restaurant!
Clean good value for money and would use a YHA again as very well worth it and i was also nicely located next to a stunning church 

We literally booked our stay 24 hours before hand and we were pleasantly surprised at the location and how close the local amenities we’re when we arrived. We were meet by friendly staff and We would definitely stay here again. 

Although close to major routes the hostel maintains the feel of the countryside - lovely garden, good kitchen, lounge etc. and easy access to local shops and facilities. Good showers, comfy bunks, storgae box. There weren't many plugs ofr charging phones etc.

I have stayed at the Milton Keynes hostel on many occasions and have always enjoyed my stay there. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a large, beautiful garden with benches to spend time in during the warm summer months.

Very clean rooms and facilities. Well equipped self catering kitchen. Any meal can also be prepared by the friendly staff. 
Walking distance from Central Milton Keynes Railway Station and the famous CMK shopping centre. 
The famous Enigma Museum in Bletchley is only one railway stop away and really worth visiting. 
All staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, from Ben the Manager to Francis, Robert and Graham, they all committed to make your stay as confortable and happy as possible.

For my first experience in a hostel I was pleased. I arrived in the afternoon and had a tour of the building. Really clean bathroom and I'm glad there was a radiator for my towel.
I didn't feel comfortable walking to the nearest Tesco in the dark so I had food at the local pub. There are 2 pubs 2 minute walk away but only one serves food. 
I stayed on a Wednesday and I noticed a poster for Ballroom dancing at the community hall opposite the hostel at 19:30 so I went along and had a great time!
I socialised with some guests in the lounge but I only saw one other 'young person' and I expected there to be more but everyone else was over 25 and seemed to be regulars. I didn't get to meet my room mates before going to sleep (when I went to bed the 4 other women were already in bed) so I didn't know who I was in a room with - I wonder if there was a way to label the beds just with a name or something. 
I also wonder if guests who are waking at similar times could be put in the same room by asking 'waking time' when booking? But all in all, good company and near a nature park.

I stayed at the hostel for two nights and I can not fault the service. I was later than expected to check in and I had a phone call from the receptionist that night checking I was ok and what I would like for breakfast the next day. And breakfast was great, with a full English (and they catered for my dietary needs) along with cereals, toast and fruit available.  

The hostel itself is very clean and tidy with excellent cooking at bathroom facilities (with the bathroom recently redecorated). It is in a fantastic location with the hostel being next door to a motte and bailey castle and a village which is pleasant to walk around.

If I'm ever in that area again, I will be staying here.

The hostel is a converted 18th Century farmhouse, surrounded by a church, thatched cottages, remains of a motte-and-bailey castle, a couple of village pubs, and Milton Keynes! A surprising oasis in the New Town. Good value basic YHA hostel.

Used YHA MK as a base for family visit to Bletchley Park July 2019.  Perfect location for the purpose, just 15 mins drive away.
Friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable and very clean room, showers/WC look like they have just been refitted.
Facilities are fairly basic - just the way a Youth Hostel should be.
Will definitely return when we re-use our annual pass the Bletchley (way too much there to see in one day)
One note - YHA web site does not mention parking.  If arriving by car there is space on site for about 8 cars and in the road immediately outside for a few more.
