We have been going to Wilsham Farm for several years now and enjoy our peaceful country stays. The rooms are lovely and the beds very comfortable. We love the peace and quiet and really enjoy the indoor swimming pool. Mrs and Mr Organ prepare a wonderful breakfast with local fruit and delicious farm produce. We also go horse riding and enjoy the fabulous views from the Valley of the Rocks and the meals at the Blue Ball Inn. We very much recommend the place.

We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our stay at Wilsham Farm.  Richard was amusing and exceptionally helpful.  Jane's breakfasts were fit for a king (and Queen).  It's a lovely setting and we think you'd find few better.

We find it hard to believe a few critical reviews that we read before a 4 night stay at this lovely b&b . We are and never will be pre-judgmental to anyone  unless they are personal against us , with that in mine we arrived here and to the day we left never a problem . Richard was very thorough with showing our room and explaining the basics and the breakfast rules . Loved the location breakfast was fine followed by their wonderful home made bread in which if you wanted more he duly obliged . All the time we were here we never got offended by Richards passionate attitude and the way his system in place worked...no hesitation in stopping here again...cheers Richard & Jayne thanks for being good hosts !!

A beautiful farmhouse in an idyllic location. Accommodation was comfortable, we even had a four poster bed.
Richard was a great host, who was happy to seat us for an early breakfast so our dog could join us- she even got a big biscuit!
The breakfast was plentiful and cooked to perfection.
A wonderful few days in Devon, and a great base for exploring the north Devon coast.

We stayed here for 2 nights in September and thoroughly enjoyed it. Richard was very welcoming and the accommodation was superb. Comfy room and bed, excellent breakfast and wonderful views. Very quiet - get away from it all, but not too far from the nearest pub for evening meal. Overall it was a very pleasant break

My stay at Wilsham Farm was everything I needed it to be. Richard was a perfect host and made me feel welcome from the minute I arrived. Lovely room with lovely view and very comfortable bed. The swimming pool is an added bonus, as are the 2 bathrobes provided, and Richard ensured that I had the pool to myself for an alloted time to comply with Covid restrictions. The view from the pool was amazing especially on the first evening watching the sunset, truly a relaxing experience. The breakfast was lovely with wonderful views from the conservatory, and again Richard was a wonderful host. On the second night he arranged a table for me at the local pub, The Blue Ball Inn which I can recommended. Finished the evening sitting in their large lounge which was very comfortable.
I needed time to think about my future plans with regards to setting up my own business and I had the time and space to do this at Wilsham Farm but also kind words from Richard brought some clarity to my thoughts for which I will always be grateful and can't wait to return and report on my progress.
Would definitely recommend Wilsham Farm to anyone. 

Stayed at Wilsham Farm for 4 nights following surgery as a mini-break and recuperation.  The situation is perfect on the hills above Watersmeet, with lots of footpaths in all directions.  We left the car one day which was brilliant.  The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating.  The room "Ash Bridge" had a wonderful comfy bed (I had the best nights sleep for years!) and the en-suite bathroom was well-equipped with lovely hot water in the shower at all times.  Breakfast was in the conservatory overlooking the rural setting - we saw a stag quite close on the first morning.  There was a good choice of breakfast to suite every appetite and the bread was home-made.  We had such a wonderful time, we booked whilst there, for next year.   

A friend and I stayed here for 3 nights to walk locally. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival with our cases carried to our room and an offer to book us dinner somewhere local. The room was clean and tidy with nice touches like bathrobes hanging in the wardrobe and a jar of homemade flapjacks refreshed every day. Breakfast was served in the conservatory which had lovely views across Exmoor and there was a wide variety of breakfast options on offer. I would highly recommend the boiled eggs and soldiers and the homemade granola. It’s a lovely peaceful location and they welcome dogs. You have to drive or get a taxi to local eateries but that didn’t bother us. I would highly recommend the Blue Ball Inn which is a 5 minute drive away and has exceptional food not to mention the local Exmoor Gold fun. If you enjoy walking it’s worth popping in to the Exmoor National Park shop on the harbour in Lynmouth where they sell really good circular walk guides of varying lengths for £1 each. We saw some beautiful places that we wouldn’t have found without them.

A happy family short holiday with teenage children. Cosy and comfortable. Great if you have a relaxed attitude to life. Really nice breakfast. No problem to bring our dog with us too. Nice to have the swimming pool. 

This is the best B ‘n’ B I’ve been to.

a Wilsham Wonder

We had a lovely week as a family with our dog here. Shame about the weather but we made the most of what we could!
Good places to eat are The Blue Ball inn and Black Venus if you want really good pub food.
Richard gave us all a delicious cooked breakfast every morning which was faultless. He is an excellent cook. He told us he makes the bread himself, all the food is local and the eggs were freshly laid that morning. The kids loved coming down in the morning. We also had toast and cereals to choose from. Tea and coffee and a glass of juice each. 
Our two rooms were clean and what we would expect from a farm house in the country. We loved the four poster beds and the crispy white sheets. The bathroom was big and very clean and we were lucky enough to have a bath and a separate shower in our room Watersmeet. My husband and son had the Stags rest room, which was light and airy, but my daughter and myself preferred our bathroom and we had a small lounge area inbetween which we enjoyed. 
The pool was available when we wanted to use it and the children enjoyed this when the weather was miserable outside. We were told though that after 7pm if we wanted the pool we would have to be quiet, as there have been complaints before. The sound travels well, so I can see why. 
Thanks Richard for a lovely stay. We loved your stories and wish we had heard more about your life! Your breakfasts were amazing! I'm going to have to try and live up to your standards now I'm home!

Rural Retreat

The location of Wilsham farm could not be better it feels remote and  'away from it all'  but actually you are only 5 minutes away from the main road with a number of local pubs serving great food close by.  The house is surrounded by the most wonderful views and has a homely welcoming feel, our room although not large was clean and comfortable.  Breakfast was excellent with delicious local produce and lots of homemade touches all served by Richard who was an entertaining, helpful and informative 'host'.  Having a pool for a quick after breakfast dip with views over the valley was a great bonus.

Lovely B&B

After a lovely journey across exmoor and through beautiful villages we turned of the main road and attempted to drive down the "lane" towards the farm this is basically only passable in a 4x4 !! My wife had to get out several times and move huge stones out the way not to mention the craters !!  Once inside we were welcomed and shown our. Room by owner Richard , a very helpful and welcoming chap 
The room was absolutely beautiful although it could have been cleaner.!
We were offered a lift to a local pub at a very reasonable rate and his local knowledge  was excellent 
   The bed was very comfortable and to views were quite beautiful the next day after a pleasant breakfast we had a swim in the pool and then relaxed in our room before being dropped into lynmouth for tea ! 
Overall we enjoyed it , the room was a little dusty but it didnt detract , and apart from the "tank testing course" as you enter it's the perfect place for a weekend away
