We had a fantastic stay at Ilford Grand Apartments. The apartment was absolutely lovely – spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The bed was cozy, the kitchen well-equipped, and the entire space had a fresh and welcoming atmosphere.The location was convenient, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free. We appreciated the attention to detail and how well everything was organized. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area, and we’ll certainly be staying again next time we’re in Ilford!

Very nice budget hotel, clean and room had tea and coffee and a small fridge. Staff very friendly.Only downside for me personally is that the bed was very hard and uncomfortable for me, other than that I wpuld recommend

Nice hotel with comfortable stay. Very little sounds from outside. Very nice service from the lovely staff. The breakfas was a bis basic but it had all the essentials (filter coffee with choices of milk inc plant milk; cereal, fruit, toast, jam..). One thing they could improve is to have reading lamps by the bed.

I’ve stayed at The Grand Hotel Ilford many times due to the convenience of it’s location, the service, comfort, general cleanliness, peace and quiet, amenities and continental breakfast are always to a very good, consistent standard every time.. Also on the rare occasion when there have been any issues, their friendly reception staff have always gone out of their way to resolve the issue or moved me to a better double room..I am a genuine patron of the hotel at different times of year, spring, summer & winter and find their room charges are very good value for the quality service they provide… And I am fussy about where I stay…!The added bonus is that there is a good choice of food options within 500 metres of the hotel, including an excellent world class southern Indian vegetarian restaurant, ( and I’m not even a vegetarian ), but eaten their several times…!!!

Check in was very smooth and reception staff polite and friendly. I booked this hotel as I had an online exam to take and needed quiet and good wifi. The room was on 3rd floor and although it was peaceful (no sudden loud noises or screaming children), the wifi connection was awful. It kind of defeated the whole purpose of my stay. I had to purchase unlimited data from my network provider and hotspot my laptop for 2 days. Getting onto netflix or youtube was not possible unless waiting forever for connection. Bathroom clean and equipped with toiletries. Could have done with more loo roll bit easily solved, just asked reception. Bed was comfortable, linens not highest quality but sufficient. Lots of reataurants on doorstep. A pleasant stay minus poor wifi.

Family breakaway

Very nice and comfortable stay

Short stay for 3 nights in apartment. The staff greeted us and were very welcoming. There was a shock though having to pre authorise £300 on card. I should have read the small print but did seem excessive. The apartment is spacious and perfect for what we needed. The stairs are a killer though especially with luggage etc. All the basics are there cutlery crockery etc. There are no drinks provided tea coffee etc unlike in main hotel. Generally the apartment was clean and well presented, did notice in bathroom items had fallen between sink and shower but forgot to inform hotel. We did find though the floor was dirty and had to wear shoes. The £300 was back within 24 hours. All in all a nice stay no major issues and could be great with few tweaks.

3 Night stay

Clean, basic, comfortable hotel .. close to Ilford train station and right on the high street. We had a family room with 4 single beds which was perfect for us. The bathroom was extremely clean with a great sized shower. Breakfast was basic but adequate, cereal, fruit juice, toast, yoghurts and tea/coffee.We were only there for one night but it was perfect for what we needed.Very nice, friendly staff too.

Clean and convenient

Let me start by saying that we booked a very convenient Flight   Hotel package, however it is a good hotel overall, the structure is well kept, the rooms are quiet and the heating/air conditioning is not noisy, the bathroom was basic but with a large and modern shower. The cleanliness is a flaw, I don't know if it is normal for the United Kingdom or if I was unlucky but although they changed the towels every 3 days, the sheets were never changed in 2 weeks while the pillows were changed once. The bathroom, on the other hand, was cleaned only after asking. The breakfast included in the price of the room is sufficient with croissants (packaged), different types of cereals, fresh milk, yogurt and drinks. The staff has always been very kind and helpful, from the reception to the cleaning ladies and those of the breakfast and this is a great strong point as well as the fact that there is a person at the reception 24/7.  The location is good if you don't want to spend a lot, it's less than 10 minutes walk from Ilford station, from which you can take the Elizabeth Line that takes you straight to central London in 30 minutes or to the major hubs/interchanges. It's a hotel that I recommend if you can turn a blind eye to cleanliness, but my opinion could be influenced by the fact that it was the first time in the UK.

Great little hotel if you want something out of the city but still able to commute in quickly. Staff all super polite and helpful Only criticisms are it could really do with some mattress toppers as the beds are a bit hard, some lamps as the over bed lights are very bright, and some pots for dirty knives at breakfast might help keep things tidy

It was a great hotel to stay if you are on the go, the staff was very helpful and would always try to accommodate whenever you would ask or request for something in regards of your hotel stay. If you like turkish food across from the hotel serves delicious food the place name is “Sultan” thanks to Aurora who was a front desk clerk for recommended the spot, she was also helpful with everything that we requested. The hotel was also 4-6 mins walk to the nearest train station “elizabeth line”. Overall great stay and we will surely comeback.

I recently stayed at the Ilford Grand Hotel for one night as I had an early meeting in Southend the next day. The hotel itself was excellent—smart, modern, and equipped with all the basic amenities you’d need for a comfortable stay. It was clean, the room was well-furnished, and it served its purpose perfectly as a convenient stopover.However, the surrounding high street left much to be desired. Admittedly I arrived in the early hours and within minutes of arriving, I was propositioned by someone on the street, which wasn’t the most welcoming experience. Adding to the initial unease, I was approached upon arrival at the hotel by someone I thought might be dodgy but who turned out to be the night auditor—an odd first impression, to say the least.In summary: the hotel itself is fantastic and well worth staying in, but the local area was, unfortunately, a bit of a dive. If you're planning to stay here, the hotel is a gem—but maybe don’t wander around outside too much at night.
