A wonderful little place in an idyllic setting. The proprietor is a gentleman of great interest and manages to be very attentive to his guests needs without being imposing or irritating. The breakfast was freshly prepared at a time to suit us. The room was quaint with a lovely view and a fantastic bathroom. If you're looking for somewhere to hide away for a while that's not too far from pubs and restaurants this is a winner. 

This is a very old welssh longhouse circa 1650. Do not expect level floors.room a good size with large en suite, very comfortable bed with feather pillows and excellent breakfast, if the b&b is quirky so is the owner Tim a truly great fellow who is very passionate about antique clocks and old buildings

Comfortable, friendly and easy-going in beautiful surroundings.  Would definitely stay again.  Had a great stay, especially relaxing in front of the inglenook wood burner in the guest lounge after an excellent meal.

Tim served us a great breakfast and showed us around his workshop. Staying here is like going back in time. The setting is superb with sheep grazing outside and a river running along the grounds. Comfy room with sloping floors and noisy water heater but it is all part of the charm.

Lovely place

This cerainly did not come up to expectations.  After seeing the information on the website I thought it looked a very nice and interesting place, ( though on looking back the information had very little about inside accomodation. Judging by the correspondence with the owner which was very friendly, my expectations were high but sadly dashed.  The stairs were dangerous ( we are elderly) and dark , even with poor lighting.  The bedding was strange ( the sheets and pillowcases seemed clean but blankets not wide enough and the candlewick bedspread looked as if it could done with a good wash.....and the bathmat looked as if it hadnt been washed for years !  Plenty of antiques but details on them barely visible for years of ingrained dust and filth .......aren't we in the midst of a Covid pandemic....there were no signs that we were which was a bit disconcerting. I am staggered by the ratings on the door of this property, namely 4* and 5 hygeine rating.  I am going to be very suspect of any ratings I see in future on a website.  How often are properties inspected and what is expected. I have seen much better conditions with poorer ratings. Not an enjoyable experience.

The good reviews are well out of date!

I had high hopes for this B and B and was booked with another couple of friends but in the event I decided not to stay.  The single room was dark and pokey. The bathroom allocated to the room was across a dark landing.  I was not happy with the state of cleanliness of this room and the rest of the house.  Especially considering we are still urged to be covid aware.  The proprietor did not wear a mask at any point, even serving the evening meal that had been pre-booked.  There was no gel or extra cleaning products at any point.  The meal was of really small proportions and was not good value for money.  I might add that I did pay for the first night accommodation and the meal despite not staying.
