Stayed for 1 night as we had a wedding tasting nearby. Lovely room with a nice view over the fields. Very well looked after. The room is comfortable and the bathroom has gorgeous marble tiles. Breakfast was lovely too. Would stay again!

Bathroom is finished to a very high standard, it’s a nice little place out of the way from the rest of the world. Great breakfast too. Would recommend a stay but it’s not walkable into Usk, a taxi there is only £6 anyhow.

Myself and my wife arrived with our two kids and we enjoyed a great break in a nice family room.

The owners (family) are fantastic and remembered the little things which make a break special.  The food at first I thought was expensive but when it arrives and you try it you then realise they have a chef who is well worth the money.

The food was very good indeed and nothing was a hassle.  The staff were good, it's family friendly and on the whole it was an excellent place offering great, personal service.

Usk is a lovely place to visit and this is a GREAT place to stay.  Nice rooms, outstanding service and some seriously good food and drink!

We came for a belated birthday Sunday lunch table of 9, nothing was too much trouble, plenty of food and extra gravy if you wanted it.
No complaints from anyone and a very happy 10 year old with dairy free chocolate fudge cake and Blood Orange Sorbet for Dessert.
Would definitely recommend, tables had plenty of room and the restaurant felt spacious. We would definitely return 

We stopped here for 2 nights as a long weekend break for a family of 4 (children aged 11 and 13) and were extremely impressed. The room was comfortable, clean and had an amazing view at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was very tasty and cooked to order so was fresh and hot and we ate in the restaurant both nights which was also very good. What really makes this place stand out is the service. We were greeted by Bev the owner on arrival and shown to our room. Bev and her team couldn't have done more to make our stay perfect. She recommend some fantastic places to visit which was much appreciated but it was the little touches that really made a difference. For example, my son doesn't drink orange juice, coffee or tea so we asked for some squash on the first morning for breakfast and then on the second day, there was a jug of squash waiting for him when we went down for breakfast. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. Thank you to Bev, Holly and the team for a lovely stay.

My daughter and I have just returned from a cycling weekend staying at Llangeview Lodge. For us the location was perfect and enabled us to do two good full days of cycling on circular routes.

Situated just outside Usk it is literally less than two minutes off the A449. 

We had a twin room (room one) which was modern and recently decorated and spotlessly clean. No shortage of hot water in the good sized ensuite shower room. Tea coffee and biscuits as well as a small bottle of water were provided.

Food: really really good. Think about good old fashioned pub food portions (they are obviously used to catering for farmers with healthy appetites)  but made with really fresh ingredients. I had a 10oz Sirloin steak which was beautifully cooked and very tender - certainly one of the best I've ever enjoyed. My daughter had a vegetarian curry which she also really enjoyed. The pub was full on Saturday night so I would suggest booking ahead - its obviously got a good reputation amongst locals.

Breakfast in the morning was also cooked to order with again very wide choice to suit everyone.

Special praise must go to all of the staff. They were all really friendly and nothing was too much bother for them. They kindly locked up our bikes up over night and let us park our car until Sunday late afternoon before we headed home.

Book direct - it's cheaper than using booking.com.

To sum up: really good value accommodation, excellent hearty food and terrific staff.

i have stayed at the logde last night, my twin room , was spotless, all amunities in working order, very confortable beds, bright room with view of fields at the back.
After atending a wedding near by last night a full Welsh breafast was needed, we had coffee , been topped up many times without asking, very custumer focused, friendly and very nice breakfast room,  the full breafast was scrumptious, hot plate and fresh ingredients, I very highly recommend this establishment if you are in the area

I was given a warm reception after a very hot day in costume at Raglan Castle.  The postcode doesn't take you direct to the property but rather down a very narrow windy lane, but I back tracked and found it - stay on the main road and ignore the SATNAV for the last 500 yards. My single room No9 faced onto the roadside, so opening the window wasn't an option ( too noisy) not a busy road but a fast one.  The fan provided was a god send on the hottest day to date this year.  Rooms looked recently decorated, so light and fresh.  Everything was superbly clean and worked well.  Lovely big shower room.
Breakfast was lovely and plenty of options - great scrambled eggs.
Overall a lovely stopover & good value

The two great strengths of Llangeview are the food and a good night’s sleep. We’re both vegetarian, and ate in both evenings: the burger, haloumi wrap, sweets, and veggie breakfast were outstanding. Wine was nice, as was the beer, provided you like Butty Bach!  The rooms face away from the road onto open farmland, so are quiet, with excellent beds and (joy of joy) windows that actually open properly, so you aren’t too hot at night. The en suites have been nicely refurbished, with good, if rather cramped, showers. The family run the place and are friendly and welcoming. B&B prices are very reasonable: we stayed in a much more expensive place in Snowdonia between these two visits, and, apart from the views and a general lack of ambience, the Llangeview was actually equal or better.

The only two things that didn’t impress us were only a single chair in a double room when there's plenty of room for another (no wonder the edges of hotel mattresses get ruined!), and the fact that a shaving light reported as being defective on the 14th hadn’t been fixed when we were back in the same room on the 20th.

My partner and myself stayed here for one night while visiting relatives in the area.  It was cheaper than nearby properties (many of which we have stayed in previously) and we found it to be at least as good, if not better.  Our room was very clean and had one of the biggest bathrooms ever!  It was a bit too hot for me, but we got round this by opening the window.  The staff were very pleasant and I was chuffed to discover that the landlady is originally from the West Midlands - as I am myself.  We ate in the restaurant twice, for our evening meal and for breakfast the next day.  The evening meal was very nicely cooked, there was a bit of a wait but the landlady explained this to us beforehand so it wasn't  problem.  We were impressed that there was a vegetarian breakfast available (with tasty veggie sausages) as many hotels don't do a proper veggie breakfast, they just give you the usual minus the bacon and sausage.  All in all, a very pleasant experience.
