Fantastic
Came here to stay for two nights to celebrate my Birthday with me husband. On arriving the two guys on the reception desk were amazing and really friendly. We took our luggage to the room and went out for a meal in the centre of Edinburgh. I was gifted a bottle of wine to celebrate and was so looking forward to a drink in the hotel and a rest. But we were not greated nicely and was shouted at by a member of staff saying that I couldn't have the wine there even though this was a gift amd we was not going to drink it there. She went on to tell me to take it of the table in a rude manor. I said that we had absolutely no intentions of drinking this in the social bar and that it was a gift for my birthday. She was nasty and abrupt that even the elderly couple on the table next us said that she was not nice. I was absolutely gutted and said to my husband that I didnt want to stay but we have travelled 3 hours to be here. I begrudged spending money and time in the bar after this. We ordered two largers in the end and I asked for a glass to take to our room for bed and she said no. If she hadn't have embarrassed us and been so aggressive we would have ordered a bottle of wine or two and snacks. I just didnt want to be there. We ended up taking our beers to bed with us as she was just aweful and became cocky with us and embarrassed us infront of a busy dining room. We came back in on our last night and ordered two drinks on the £5 special menu which she said wasn't on but they were then she made us feel really awkward again. It really spoilt our time away at this would be gorgeous premier inn. I really didnt want to step foot back in the bar but my husband said that he has paid alot to stay and that I was. I was relieved she wasn't on at breakfast time. I will be escalating it higher as it was horrific because of how she was with us.
