Old Town Chambers, Autograph Collection 

My son treated us to a weekend break at The Old Town Chambers Hotel for my birthday. It was an excellent choice. We loved it! The tram was an efficient way to arrive from the airport, an easy walk to the hotel. We received a warm welcome from Stephano who gave us excellent service throughout our stay. Our suite was outside the main building opposite the Devils Advocate bar and restaurant, which was useful as we visited a couple of times, the food and drinks were both excellent. The room was basically a mini apartment, a good sized living area with sofa bed and well equipped kitchen/dining area, a comfy bed and a free standing roll top bath in the bedroom and a huge bathroom with beautiful products so no need to bring your own. The breakfast was delicious and the service from a new waiter was excellent. We visited the bar area once but only as we had so much to pack in to our weekend. I didn’t have time to use the gym either but it is handy to know it is there for next time. We would all definitely love to return here on our next visit to Edinburgh. My only piece of advice for the hotel is to please add a mirror in the bedroom to help with blow drying hair and to avoid the queue when getting ready when others are in the shower. We would recommend the bus tour as a great way to work out where everything is. Browns Bar served delicious food. The Alchemist for great cocktails and nibbles.
