This is the 3rd time we have stayed here , and we wondered why we had not been back earlier. Without doubt this is one of the best places we have ever stayed in , and this time we were in the annexe which was a lovely piece of self contained privacy with a sun patio with a table & chairs .Everything about Taw Vale will meet your expectations.

Charming, comfortable guest house.  Very easy parking, friendly hostess, comfortable beds.  Shower was excellent and had all the amenities in the bedroom including hair dryer and hot water bottle which we didn’t need.  Breakfast was outstanding.

Sadly I was only able to stay one night but I would definitely come back for longer with my wife. Taw Vale is very friendly and clean b and b with en suite bathrooms and a wonderful cooked breakfast thrown in although other breakfast options are available on request. The bed was comfortable and the shower was more than adequate. It is close to the station and there is easy on site parking. 

There are several local walks on well marked footpaths along the river within a short distance and Sylvia has a booklet with suggested walks complete with maps.

Lovely home with what can only be described as the best breakfast I have ever tasted, home made bread, jam and marmalade and honey provide by the bees living in the garden hive.

Had a lovely one night stay here. The owners are absolutely lovely, friendly and very helpful.
The room was lovely and clean, great touches with biscuits and a chocolate on arrival.
The breakfast was fantastic with great local produce, homegrown tomatoes and homemade jam and marmalade for your toast!
Would most definitely stay again. 

I really enjoyed my stay at Taw Vale. Everywhere was super clean. The room was comfortable and quiet. Sylvia was so kind and lovely. The breakfast was delicious… a treat. Parking was good. I am really pleased I found this Bed and Breakfast and I can totally recommend.

It was like home from home , what a fantastic BB .
The hosts were like famly the food was outstanding
the rooms first class  this is a gem.
I shall return next month.

I was visiting family for the first time in Devon with my parents and needed 2 rooms for a couple of days, we booked at Taw Vale and having not used a B&B before I was unsure what to expect.
Well, from the moment we were greeted by Sylvia until the end of our stay we were so happy and thankful.
Our rooms were super clean, nice fluffy pillows, comfortable bed and a very clean bathroom.
All the necessities were provided and the best breakfast with delicious choice of jams!
The service was amazing and we all felt safe and comfy at all times.
The parking was great which is a bonus. A clean, cosy and convenient location, I would highly recommend to anyone considering a stay.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while but life got too busy. However I have not forgotten the wonderful but too short, stay at Taw Vale. The room was so comfortable and our every need was catered for. So many extra special touches made this an unforgettable stay. The breakfasts were fabulous with  a huge choice of delicious and healthy offerings. I would heartily recommend Taw Vale as an ideal location for visiting

The most comfortable stay I’ve had

Unforgettable stay.

We have just stayed at Taw Vale for 2 nights and feel like we’ve been thoroughly spoilt. We stayed in the garden room which was lovely, very comfortable room and spotlessly clean. 

Go for the full English breakfast you won’t be disappointed, it sets you up for the day.

Location is great with lovely gardens and just a 15 minute walk into Crediton.

Sylvia is a lovely lady, perfect hostess.

We stayed at Taw Vale B&B in August 2021. 2 adults and 2 pre-teens. It was a lovely stay and Sylvia was very welcoming and ensured we had all we needed.  The B&B was clean, comfortable and everything you need for a stay away from home.  The property is a period property with lovely furnishings and modern conveniences.  Comfortable rooms and more importantly, comfortable beds. The Full English was excellent and delicious! We will certainly be returning.

Wonderful B&B

We needed accommodation in the area for a wedding and found Taw Vale. We had the garden room which was great. Unfortunately the weather meant we couldn’t enjoy the terrace but imagine it’s a great spot to wind down. Peter and Sylvia were very accommodating - hot drink on arrival and fantastic breakfasts. We were very pleased to have booked 2 nights. 

I read a review before which said how good the homemade marmalade was (carrot, orange and lemon I think) so decided to give it a go - the previous review was right - it was fantastic. 

Highly recommend Taw Vale and will use it again if in the area.

Lucky find

Amazing, warm welcome from hosts Sylvia & Peter. Fantastic B&B. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable. Charming decor, modern facilities within period home and well kept gardens. I stayed in the garden suite, very private with it's own patio area. Only a few minutes walk to the train station but I hasten to add despite proximity to the road it is a quiet location. Travel to Exeter is quick & convenient.

Phew! What a gem

Another visit to see friends in Crediton.  A warm welcome, as usual, and for the first time I stayed in the Garden Room, originally the servants' bedroom, a cosy, quiet self-contained en suite, with the bathroom effectively a wet room.  Sylvia and Peter were as kind and attentive as ever, finding something I had lost and going so far as to bring it to my friends' house!  Try the sausages for breakfast!
