Holly House

I booked Holly House last minute for work. I was excited to be staying in a 5 star establishment as it's a massive treat for me (especially with work footing the bill!). When I arrived, the owner Valerie greeted me, was very friendly and showed me to my room. She showed me how to work everything and recommended a local pub nearby for food. The room itself was very large and luxurious, Valerie has thought of everything you might need, from fresh milk to make tea, water in the fridge, to an assortment of teas and coffees, and a little KitKat. I had a lovely bath and relaxed. Then when I went to bed, the bed is so comfy, the pillows are lovely and I slept like a baby. It's very quiet in the house which is good. I woke up feeling very refreshed. I'd booked the full English breakfast and I wasn't disappointed! Generous portion of food and very well cooked. All good quality ingredients and I think a bargain at £12 (continental breakfast also included). Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who'd like a window into another life. Rather than booking a faceless hotel room, I'll definitely be coming here again and recommending to anyone who will listen!
