What a gem! Thanks to Jan and Neil who are the perfect hosts. Jan, front of house couldn't be more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and she happily gave us advice on places to go. Neil's breakfasts were excellent and we spent a couple of evenings in the bar enjoying their fun and interesting since over a drink or two. The hotel is very clean and well cared for. We stayed for four nights in Room 2, which has a brilliant balcony with a fantastic views. We were very lucky to have fabulous weather during our stay,and so made good use of the outdoor pool and garden area which is a sun trap! All in all, a really lovely break and we would highly recommend The Poplars.
