Rothay Manor Hotel 

We recently stayed at Rothay Manor and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts - we got engaged during our stay, and the team truly made it unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional and genuinely attentive. Isaac, Lara, the Scottish waiter and the gentlemen on reception (sorry we didn’t catch your names!) were all fantastic - friendly, welcoming and clearly proud of what they do. Our room was beautiful - spacious, immaculately presented and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel luxurious yet comfortable. It struck that perfect balance between boutique charm and relaxed Lake District warmth. Dinner on the Friday night was exceptional. The lobster was superb, the duck rostis were a standout, and the cheeseboard was one of the best we’ve had. You can really tell the kitchen takes pride in quality and flavour. The next morning, we had breakfast in the room - a full English and Eggs Benedict - both absolutely delicious and the perfect way to round off such a special stay. The location is ideal too, with some brilliant walks straight from the hotel, making it the perfect base for exploring the Lakes. We couldn’t have chosen a better place for such an important moment. We would highly recommend Rothay Manor and can’t wait to return.
