Al Habool - 3 BR Apartment - MSG 8711

We travel extensively and always to somewhere warm immediately after Christmas and over New Year. This year we revisited Dubai and took our daughter for the first time as she had finished University and is now of adult age under UAE legislation. Being three of us, we needed to ensure we all had privacy and therefore, chose accommodation which allowed separation whilst providing significant common facilities. Our Apartment was superb in every respect! Wonderfully equipped with every imaginable kitchen appliance, a huge and comfortable Lounge/Dining Room and three separate Bathrooms plus, a WC and a Laundry. We were not however aware when booking, that the Tamani Marina is a dry establishment and therefore, if alcohol was to feature in our holiday, we needed to eat mainly in the various licenced restaurants in the Marina and the local Hotels. This was expensive although, not a reason to criticise the Tamani which, was excellent. The staff were very attentive, breakfast was of good quality although, at peak times a challenge especially, with Nanny's trying to look after hordes of children whilst their Mothers sat on remote tables. The Fitness Centre was excellent and well used by us all. In the winter months, the Sun is on the Sun Terrace in the morning and has disappeared behind the other high buildings by around 12.30 pm, appearing over the pool at around 14.30 pm until Sundown. While we were here, there were some sandstorms and occasions when the wind made it difficult to sunbathe at the pool unless you found a sheltered spot. The Tamani Marina has a wonderful street level Cafe (again dry) which we used a couple of times during our stay and enjoyed greatly. We've stayed in "dry establishments" before and it isn't the end of the world. In accepting this custom we concluded our stay at Tamani Marina was a very enjoyable experience.
