Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection - Ultra All Inclusive

Currently coming towards the end of a weeks stay at this wonderful hotel. We have previously stayed at other Barut / Akra places so feel well placed to give an honest review. The good points are: 👍 The food and drink is of a very high standard across both the a la carte restaurants and the buffet area. 👍 Drinks service is very quick and easy using the QR codes on each sun umbrella. Evening drinks service is by waiter who are all very efficient. 👍 The hotel is lovely and modern, with a great pool and equally nice private sandy beach. Our room was perfect. Everything is spotless throughout. 👍 By far the best aspect here are the staff. Always smiling, they all work incredibly hard, in the Turkish sun, to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. A special mention though has to go to Tuba who works upstairs in the Padora Bar serving amazing cocktails. She really is a credit to the Barut brand. Points for improvement: 👎 The hotel needs a system where booking of at least one a la carte visit can be done in advance of your stay. The existing system only allowed us to book our first a la carte on Friday despite arrival late Tuesday afternoon. This is not a deal breaker but is frustrating at the price payed for our stay. It definitely needs improving. 👎 The hotel serves craft beers in Maison Plage restaurant however over the course of our stay we have found these to be unavailable on a few occasions due to low stock. 👎 Lastly, and with reference to this reviews title, we have the sun loungers. The loungers on the beach are great with comfortable cushions. As are about 20% of the loungers around the pool (these one's are new). However the remaining loungers have seen better days and are simply not acceptable for a hotel of this standard I'm afraid. Don't think they could make them any more uncomfortable if they tried. In summary. Great hotel. Fantastic food amazing drinks. Even better staff! Would we return? Absolutely! Once the dodgy old sun loungers have all been replaced.
