Not only is the property beyond stunning, the staff were some of the most generous and helpful we’ve ever experienced. Cannot recommend staying here enough.

Very characteristic beautiful location with great view from terrace. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Everything was great, the guys in the hotel are amazing. Immediately responded to all our requirements. Helped with transportations, met us to/from taxi down the road and carried our bags. Recommended place to stay!

We had a really good stay. Sinan and Yunus were magnificent and were always at hand to help. It is within walking distance to old town centre but there are many stairs which would be challenging for people with mobility problems.  Our only problem was that plaster flakes were falling from the ceiling. Tahir bey is a taxi driver who works with the hotel and he is exceptionally trustworthy and reliable for taking you out on a tour of Mardin and surrounds at a great price.

Everything was perfect. Staff were so helpful from the time of check-in until departure. The main street is near by to all the amazing shops and restaurants. Lovely ancient city with beautiful sunset views. Highly recommend.

This hotel is exceptional as it is not only beautiful and carries the architectural signs of the city, but it is also opened by 3 young university friends all of whom are incredibly kind and helpful. We had a special bond with them and our stay was very comfortable. Its beautiful terraces give you a fantastic view of the Mesopotamia plain. I am very thankful!

This is one of the most unique hotels I have stayed in. The building is about 700 years old and was formerly a synagogue. It still retains much of the original features. I stayed on the top floor. The room had a 300 year old door with a large oddly key for a lock. The ceilings were high and still have Hebrew inscriptions on it. The rooms are clean, the breakfast was wonderful, and the people who work at the hotel are very helpful.

Location is perfect, very close to old Mardin, you can hang around by walking in the historical area. Hotel building is 700 years old and very clean and marvelous atmosphere. Hotel staffs are very kind and helpful, they welcome you and show you the way around the hotel. I definitely recommend to who really like to see historical Mardin.

Lovely hotel in the old part of Mardin with a fabulous view over Mesopotamia. Lots of stairs to get to the Main Street. I was a bit disappointed with the double room which appeared to have no window but the Staff suggested we pay a bit extra and get an upgrade to the top room where we had a lovely view and a sitting area. The bathroom was basic for the price we paid.

If you have never been to Mardin or stayed in a locale with such rich history then accommodation such as this will blow you away. This boutique hotel is the former residence of a Jewish family and our hotel room was their former private chapel/synagogue. The bathroom is a bit of an odd retro-fit in the former synagogue (with moderate privacy for those who like maximum privacy) and my overall experience is great. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Where do i start, absolutely amazing experience From the moment you walk in all the friendly staff are there to assist you. We stayed in a converted stable room which was very lovely and clean. The owner Zahit went extra mile to make your stay comfortable. Delicious Turkish breakfast was serve at the terrace.  The view's from the Terrace are awesome, specially at sunset. Ulu Cami is the main attractions is just few minutes walk from the hotel. Have your walking shoe's ready to climb the beautiful small up hill Alleyway.

Beautiful amazing experience!

What an amazing experience. Love everything from the hotel to the surrounding! Room we stayed was a lovely barn converted. Very unique and different.The staff was very warm and welcoming, specially Shaban and the owner Zahit went out of their way to help us. All the main attractions within walking distance. Delicious Turkish breakfast was served at the terrace overlooking the beautiful views. Be prepared to walk those steps and they are plenty.  The sunset from the terrace was breathtakingly beautiful.

Best views over mesopotamia!!Ideally located, Maristan is the right choice to explore the old Mardin, everything is within minutes of walking. Zahit, Amin, Ferhad and Idriss are very helpful and have great recommendations, was great to share with them a cup(s) of tea every evening. The hotel itself used to be a traditional Konak, making you feel the 1001 nights right when you get there! Don't miss the view from the terraces especially during sunset when the whole old town turns ocre/dark red. Thank you again for hosting us, we'll be back!
