Manzara Boutique Hotel 

The Manzara Hotel is really well situated in Bodrum, being only about 600 metres away from the beach, where along the promenade there is a lot of activity and plenty of bars and restaurants. It also overlooks and has great views of the town’s east bay and St. Peters Castle. Walking down to the seafront is quite easy but returning on foot is not so, as the first half of a direct walk brings you gently up to a cross street called Ataturk Caddesi, where there is a little grocery shop but then the last 300 metres are up quite a steep hill. However that hill does get easier after you’ve climbed up it a couple of times. There are taxis to be found in the streets near to the beach and they can bring you back to the hotel for 250 Turkish lire. There is also a taxi stand just opposite the hotel if you want to go to the castle or beyond, The hotel itself is very nicely laid out with two pools, a breakfast bar and the in house Dante restaurant that will serve food most of the day. This restaurant has a nice comprehensive menu with a good selection of dishes at quite reasonable prices and I would also say that some of the starters are big enough to satisfy as a main on their own. So if you don’t feel like going to the beach restaurants, which we found were not always that great, then it can be a pleasure to stay and eat al fresco at the hotel in the evening, The atmosphere at the hotel is lovely, it is nice and relaxing here and the staff are all very friendly and helpful, especially Deniz from the Dante, he was always ready to help at any time. The two swimming pools give you the option of swimming or just lazing around. Neither is very deep. The triangular pool by the bar is divided with a small very shallow area with water jets and the other part deep enough to stand in. The second pool, near the breakfast bar is lovely ad quiet. It’s also surrounded by sun beds and parasols. This pool is bigger and more suitable for swimming. We loved our Junior suite with its great view and air conditioning in both rooms. It was clean and comfortable with a cool balcony area. So if you are looking for a nice low key, chilled resort the Manzara is hard to beat.
