Mardan Palace Hotel 

Lovely hotel would recommend but wouldn't go back as it doesnt suit our family, but it is a very beautiful place. We went in August and the hotel was busy but it still felt quite relaxed. We chose this hotel as we were looking for a luxury break. We had one incident while we were there we got completley locked out of our room and had to wait for the handyman to break in for us as the key card stopped working completley which took a while, however the concierge Saeed was very apologetic and polite. He kept in contact over WhatsApp and gave us a complimentary vip booth at the show to say sorry which was appreciated! Thank you again Saeed. So positives, swim up bar nice touch, beach is beautiful, mini waterpark great for little kids but teens not so much. The bistro is lovely and open 4l24 hours for breakfast lunch and dinner with table service really liked that! Cons- the buffet is far too small for this size of hotel and very repetitive, we have been to others where the buffet is huge and extensive but this not at all. Obviously the weather was amazing and very hot but ot is so packed in the small buffet seated area you have to sit outside. We didnt mind that but it can be a bit much. The snack bars Mexican and Turkish which are table service are a bit hit and miss, one day we had fantastic service and food was great l, one day waited for 45 mins and half food didnt come and when we asked they had completely forgotten about it so we left and another time we waited to be served and ended up leaving. It didnt annoy us we just went to the bistro but it was a shame. The a la carte are nice can be a little on the pricey side but mostly worth it. We booked the steak house for a birthday and unfortunately the chateau briand we ordered was bad, and covered in salt and not nice but our friends enjoyed theirs so again hit and miss I suppose. The Italian was beautiful would highly recommend! The Asian was nice too. Ice cream hut with waffles is a lovely little touch. Room was nice large enough for the 4 of us, but not a lot of storage at all, we ended up leaving a lot in cases and toiletries were stacked on floor. Not a big deal we jist got on woth it but compared to other hotels it was a lot smaller. Wouldn't say they were 100% clean either thick destroyed under bed and floor always felt lile there was bits on it but again just a little thing. We wouldn't return as the main part for us when we travel is day time and evening entertainment and there is not a lot Unless you like aqua aerobics or bit of pool volley. They have show and music in the bars which is nice but We like to go to places that have themed days and evenings. Hotels we have visited previously have had something going on to do, get involved in but this didnt have that so thats the only reason we wouldn't come back. If you have a young family it would be great! We didnt see any entertainment team the whole time we were there. Also do not buy anything in the shop by the mykynos bar! 25 euros for a tiny inflatable ball and 60 euros for suncream! Avoid. Cheaper to get a taxi into lara and go shopping in market.
