Nice location near centre of Udon but far enough away to escape noise etc, Good size clean room and comfortable bed. Wifi very weak signal on our floor (4th). Reception friendly enough but not very helpful.

Good location and price but poor wifi

Karin hotel have good location. That is why the strangers like us chose this hotel for stay while in Udon Thani. And we have regret for this decisions.

When we arrived hotel, it's late and raining. There's have 2 doorman stay in front of lobby, but belive or not, they did not do anything for helping us for carrying luggage and give parking ínstruction. First bad impression.

The room rate for single bed is 860 bath, acceptable for a night. We stay in 7th floor. The room is large, big bed and air condition cool. But when I finished toilet, the water was so weak that could not wasted everything in toilet! 

In early morning, I tried for showing again. The water was very strong, but after 5', it just "drop by drop" again!

So angry, when we checked out with many complain. In reply, the receptionist just answer: "The pump was damaged". No sorry, no more explain! Beside that, in the elevator, we've read the note: "The HOT WATER in our hotel is from 10.AM to 10.PM". Really! 

I swear, I will never come back this hotel again!

Will never come back

Karin Hotel is well located but that is it. The rooms are decent and the bed comfortable. The hotel is a little highly priced. The breakfast was poor. The staff spoke no English. Atleast they understand a little English but don't speak it. 

One of the worst hotels I have stayed in. 

Last Sunday, we had this room as part of a wedding package. The suite is quite pleasant as a first impression. Comfy seats, a table with 3 chairs and 2 bedrooms with 3 beds.  The bathroom has only a shower and there is a sign in the elevator saying hot water only in the mornings and evenings.

The TV had the usual American channels: FOX, Bloomberg but for some channels the picture quality was bad. 

Bad: the aircon setting for both bedrooms. Ended up sleeping in the living room. The windows were a disgrace - paint spilled over one and all were frightfully dirty. 

The staff att reception misunderstood and upon my return from a morning stroll into town, my belongings had been removed and food & drink stolen! 

Breakfast: a voucher got me 2 eggs, 2 toasts and a small cup of coffee. Why bother? They really should stop the penny pinching attitude when someone pays 10 times more for a suite and offer at least a meal or something.

The place is struggling and was almost deserted. Letting the cleaner spend 1 hour once a month in the suite would make sense. I blame the manager. It would be good if he would take a look at his suites and get some priorities straight.

Management sucks - avoid the suite (had #701, 3 beds, 2 BRs)

I stayed here for 3 nights last week. There was a supposed promotion on Agoda and the rate was 500 Baht per night. I don't know about the other accommodation options in Udon Thani but I chose Karin due to its proximity to my friend's place.

The interior of the hotel is simple and unimpressive. Don't expect your socks to be blown off. The staff are reasonably polite. Not great by Thai standards but stunningly fantastic by Middle Eastern standards.

The room is spacious and clean. Towels, bar soaps and two bottles of water are provided. The TV, though small and old, actually had Western cable channels. The air conditioning is quite loud and cold (17°C) and it cannot be adjusted. Thus, you have two options:

1. Switch the air conditioning on and endure the loud sound and cold temperatures

2. Switch the air conditioning off, hear the sound of the neighbouring room's compressor and endure the stuffy heat.

Both the sink and shower area flooded a little when I used it. Additionally, I saw a huge cockroach crawl from inside the toilet towards the refrigerator!

Because of the type of lock on the door, I didn't feel safe and carried my valuables with me everywhere.

All in all, except for the cockroach (which I believe to be an isolated incident), this place is simple, decent and good value for money. 

Decent place to lay your head

When you arrive and ask for a room for one night, they will express their discomfort by giving you a room with dirty sheets and a poor overall appearance.The best part of this hotel is that it is well located in this huge city that is Udon.

Good location but moderate enough

I arrived at the karin hotels in the evening, very nice hotels with beautiful reception. I wanted to take a shower at night because of the heat, when I turned on the light I could see a crowd of little cockroaches running along the walls. I asked to change rooms right away what was done.
