Fantastic
289 reviewsFrom being met at the airport ( just 10 minutes away) the whole experience at Kanda was first class. Our Villa was spacious, over two floors with pretty much everything we could want, including a Kitchen, Mosquito netted bed large upper balcony and large outdoor area including day bed and swimming pool. There’s a lounge area, huge bathroom, several toilets and washing machines, everything for a lengthy stay. Unfortunately we were only there for 6 days. There is only one choice of restaurant on site, the highly rated Rock Pool, which is excellent and visited by many diners each evening and must be the most photographed venue on Koh Samui, and also the bar area. Its pricey, but the location is stunning and the food excellent. There is a large swimming pool alongside the bar overlooking the sea, a well equipped Spa and gym. Golf Carts driven by the friendly staff are available to take you wherever you want to go onsite. The only downside was the beach isn’t really fit for use, its rocky and unclean despite the efforts of daily cleaners, each tide brings along load of debris. The sea was pretty rough for our entire stay too, and that with the combination of rocks along the coast makes swimming in the sea a definite no no. Its a large property with steep hills, I wouldn’t say it is particularly friendly to anyone who struggles with their mobility, although as above, Carts are available. Its also a little isolated, nowhere is walkable due to a lack of pavement and lighting along the road. However, taxis are available easily enough and the Hotel run a minibus into Town daily. In summary, the property is well located, secluded, beautiful, well equipped, the staff are fabulous , food and drink offering is superb, and we’d definitely return. Highly recommended.
