Less than an hour outside Chiang Mai city, between Bo Sang and Doi Saket lies a little piece of serenity and relaxation that is a welcome reprieve from the hustle and bustle of city life in Chiang Mai. Clean, spacious, all with indoor and outdoor showers, A/C and fans, kitchen facilities, wonderfully comfortable beds (so important after staying on a concrete mattress in Chiang Mai)... I really can't recommend this place enough! The owners are incredible, friendly and welcoming... I am staying here as I write this review and we are booked in to stay for another 10 days, we just cannot bring ourselves to leave! With only 3 villas, they are always on hand and able to help you with whatever needs you have. The location in only a short bike or walk from the main strip where there are shops, supermarkets and local markets for all your food and shopping needs. In addition to that there is a farm of incredible vegetables right out the front doorstep, and local stores 2-3 minutes walk up the road, making it very easy to be self sufficient here and eat cheap and healthy food everyday... (plus the local Thai sweets which I am now addicted too) If you are looking for a place to relax and settle into the slow easy going pace of rural Thai life, this is the place to come...! Baan JanThai 10/10!
