Wellingehus Hotel

This homely hotel was discovered by my wife after my usual stopover in Lund was booked out. I must say it is probably the best find ever and highly recommended. There was only one room left when I arrived which was on the third floor; having a health issue I was unable to walk up all three floors to the room, after explaining this to the beautiful aged couple, I was offered an alternative which had a lift and to my delight the room was equipped with a mini kitchen and an electric kettle, I was given as much Earl Grey tea as I could drink (heaven) …. The room itself was a twin with a wide-screen TV, dining table and chairs, mini-fridge with two hobs to cook light food and an electric kettle. If you happen to have a disability the bathroom and the shower was perfect with a round shower stool catering for all needs being spacious along with a plentiful supply of towels – the room and the hotel was spotless and warm. The breakfast room was delightful, breakfast itself was fresh and with tasty bread rolls, cheese, salami, cereals and james and an assortment of breads along with a copious supply of tea and or coffee. As for the beautifully aged couple that greeted me upon booking in I cannot say enough good words to describe my gratitude which relates to their very kind care and assistance; I believe they could be the owners and if so they must be the most perfect example of being a host that one could ever wish to encounter. I can without any hesitation recommend this wonderful hotel and if you’re looking for more than a place to sleep i.e. a home from home then this is the hotel for you.
