We recently stayed here for approximately 1 week, our daughter's wedding reception was held at the hotel.  The staff was amazing, the hotel is recently renovated and it was just fabulous! We stayed in a superior room with a teenage daughter, plenty of room. The breakfast was great, it is served daily around 7am.  Great location, breathtaking views

I stayed here for two nights, in the hostel part of the hotel, in April '14. I just needed a place to sleep because the purpose of my trip was to ride along the Klarälvsbanan and Klarälvsleden.  The hotel is ideally situated where the two meet.  
The hostel was clean, comfortable, and quiet.  Wifi worked great.  Breakfast was nice.  All in all a nice place to rest after riding all day.  And the price was good, too.

A very nice place to stay for one or more nights. Well situated right where Klarälvsbanan ends, so very easy to find. It is right by the lake with big lawns to sit on. You can even swim if the wether is good. I had a double room in one of the wings, and although basic, it had everything I needed for the night. Kettle in room, flat screen tv, and a genrous selection of toiletries in the bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. 

There is a very nice restaurant, a small bar, and a lovely terrace to sit. Breakfast was served continental style with plenty of choice for fresh, warm bread, cereal, cheeses and so on. Staff was friendly and very polite. All in all a place I would return to, and recommend to anyone.

My colleague and I had the opportunity to stay at this lovely country hotel for a second time within a year (once in early summer, once in winter). The accommodations are basic, but comfortable (furniture of Ikea-style design). The bucolic surroundings are lovely, with walking and biking trails nearby.

We enjoyed the typical Swedish breakfast board, but found the dinners repetitive and often overcooked.

Two highlights this trip:
1. The very friendly and helpful office staff had saved a cell phone charger we left behind during the summer, and returned it to us when we checked in this time (they held onto it for more than 7 months, and even remembered whose it was!)
2. Sitting by the fireplace at night before dinner, sipping a warm drink, was bliss after slogging through the snow.

We stayed at Uddeholms hotel because we were visiting relatives in the area. The accomodations were clean and the beds were comfortable. The setting, right on a lake was beautiful. We wished that there was time for some of the explorations they offered such a beaver watch. Bikes were available for those who wanted to explore on their own on a fabulous bike path through outstanding scenery. Breakfast (included) was typicaSwedish hotel breakfast with plenty of choices for everyone's taste.

Staff couldn't be nicer! 

Our only disappointment  was the evening meal. The reviews were outstanding, but it wasn't open except for a cold buffet any of the nights we stayed.

Idyllic views, basic but clean hotel

Lovely setting, lovely people

This is a rustic Swedish country lodge which is long on scenery, but short on amenities.  The room was large by European standards with a separate, curtained-off area for children's bunk beds.  It was clean, but far from fancy.  If your idea of a hotel is the Ritz, this is not your place to stay.  We were in the area to meet with family, so the hotel worked very well for us.  The breakfast in the bright, sunny dining room (located in the main house) was adequate although the dinner offerings were inconsistent.  The location on the lake is lovely, with a great walking/running area just over the bridge to the east of the hotel. We were near an incredible bike path, so we rented bikes from the hotel for a ride.  The staff is very nice and very helpful with an excellent command of English.  Also, they have tennis courts and let us borrow rackets and balls.  The on-site laundry facility was convenient.  The room where we stayed had light-weight curtains which made sleeping tough during the Swedish summer.  Also, our room was on the first floor near the building's door and stairs so there was a fair amount of noise.  The highlight was relaxing on the main house's balcony overlooking the lake while sipping the beverages of our choice.  Perfect way to end the day.
