Wonderful hotel located in the centre of Torsby. Clean, quiet and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend staying here. I also want to express my extreme gratitude to AK for his exceptional customer service and willingness to do everything he can to make your stay a great one. AK, thank you for what you did, I won’t forget it and cannot express my gratitude enough. You’re a legend.

Lovely hotel with excellent, over and above customer service

Nice hotel with great staff

I am not even sure what to say about this. I would not book again. It is insanly expensive, you dont get what you pay for. The breakfast is really simple, and it again you dont get what you pay for. You can hear everything from the rooms, traffick, people walking and baby cry. At the same time, the pillows were really bad. On a positive note, however, the customer service was nice. Would have written a different review if the price was half of what we payed, because it wasnt worth more than that.

Way overpriced hotel

We stayed at Björnidet one night. It was fairly highly priced (€150) and looked like a hotel on a sports resort. We checked the room and found it more like a hostel and tried to negotiate a lower price, but without any success. The man at the reception was friendly and explained that this was the best price in Torsby for that kind of room. We trusted him and decided to take the room without having checked the nearest competitor. The wifi never worked. When we went to bed we noticed that the bathroom was not 100% clean and the linen i the beds were not entirely dry. The breakfast would be better at most gas stations. A plus was that you could see your car on the parking on the back of the hotel.

Looks like a real hotel, but..

Quite Simply the Worst hotel I have ever styaed in . Staff rude and unhelpful. Food is terrible. Noise in the hotel is awful and outside even worse from the locals who seem the think its OK to drive all through the night with drum and bass blaring.  The the hotel thinks its OK to have a nightclub on the same floor as the bedrooms with very little sound proofing.

High price for low service. Restaurant had a poor menu, not offering Greek as per description due to Covid recovery and replaced will low quality fried food. An extra towel had to be charged for, while we were already paying a lot.Breakfast was good though, surprisingly.Not worth the money.

Opposite the hotel is a carpark where young people meet. They park their cars there, doors wide open and the music blaring deafeningly. Even with earplugs it was unbearable! So I only stayed for two nights instead of seven, but did not get the money back. The boss does not speak English; he was rude towards me. He refused to tell me the name of his business partner and told me to ask the police instead. Furthermore, I was told to sleep on only one side of the double bed.

I escaped from the place

Checked in for 6 nights on a business trip in the area. Had to move first room as had no water, second room had no hot water. When I finally got a room with hot water I realised it was overlooking a "party tent" about 10 metres away  which was playing live and loud music till 2am. Was unable to change room for one at the rear of the hotel and as a result didn't get much sleep at all. 

If you can find anywhere else to stay in the area, I would advise you to book there rather than the so called "Hotel" Bjornidet!
