Came to the hostel really early in the morning together with my girlfriend, check-in wasn't until 09:00 but we came in with a code that we'd got earlier in the email. A pretty small place, only two toilets in the whole building, and three pretty small showers in cubicles down in the basement. We didn't get our room until 14 o' clock but we knew that beforehand, the guy in the reception was very nice and had no problems with us leaving our bags for the whole day. Do mind though, the hostel is in a very nice but busy location, and it can get rowdy in the evenings outside the hostel. Woke up a couple of times to people shouting outside and people showering and not feeling too good due to a night out since our room was just next to the showers. Didn't use the kitchen or any of the facilities there, but the coffee and tea were well stocked when I checked.

Pros:
- Good location, 40 meters and you're in old town and on the other side of the street was a stop for the boat traffic that took you to Skeppsholmen and Gröna Lund/Skansen.
- Very nice and accomodating receptionist.
- Comfortable beds.
- Cheap for the location.
- Free wifi.

Cons:
- Very thin doors and windows, you could hear everything..
- Only two toilets, and the toilet paper ran out in the morning. Got restocked as soon as the reception opened though.
- Shower cubicles were very small and a bit dirty.
- Wifi didn't work in the basement.

All in all a decent place. For the price we paid it was okay. Wouldn't stay here more than a night though.

Good location, but some problems.

We arrived at 11 a Friday. We hade got the code, so we could go inside and leave our bags, just under the stairs. B.a.m. no safety. We came back 15 for check in. Nice girl at the reception..I asked for a room at the same level, but hade no answer..all booked up, We had  a room downstairs ..we made our beds..men then I felt I can't take this!! Small and a tiny window not reachable..so I went up to the very nice girl and said I booked a room with ordinary windows! And a miracle happens..She went and took some other guest bag out from a nice room and whoops so were we in room nr 9.So it might happens! But it was no cheeting from our side.
Still I won't book this again. It was to small all over and only 2 toilets  The kitchen worked for breakfast 3 people in there and it was crowded 
The beds were absolutely OK and also the light. The showers were very hot and one of them was very big. Had a nice shower! Thanks for the nice girl in the reception
And the wifi..down in the celler bad working, better upstairs

Now it has to be enough!

Awful experience. It was very clear that the owner just wants to milk travellers instead of offering them a good experience at the hostel. We also found many issues with the facilities, hygiene and safety. Only good quality about the hotel is the location, but there are plenty of well-located hostels in Stockholm so I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Staff
The hostel overbooked our room, so we were with 7 in a room for 6. We found out at 22.00 so one person had nowhere to sleep. When we called the owner he immediately got very defensive saying that the hostel never makes mistakes and that we should figure it out ourselves. He said that this is the risk that you take when you sleep in a hostel, that some of our roommates must have let somebody else in who claimed a bed. He refused to come over to help out at first, took us 3 hours of convincing before he finally showed up. Then of course it turned out the hostel made a mistake and booked somebody extra in our room while there was a bed available in another room. He promised us a refund for the sleepless night, which we never received (after multiple emails and phone calls in which he promised to give it to us). Very grumpy and unfriendly staff at the reception as well.

Hygiene
Only 2 toilets for the entire hostel - which consists of 11 rooms with 6 beds per room -
 which was not cleaned often so it was pretty smelly. Couldn't wash your hands in one as the sink was broken. It had a sign saying they were waiting for spare parts, but I guess they were not in a hurry to fix it as I saw a review from June complaining about the sinks, and we stayed there in August (I wanted to wait with writing the review so the owner could redeem himself by giving us the refund, but it is obvious now that we will never get that).

Facilities
There were about 5 plates, 2 forks, 3 spoons and a couple of knifes for the entire hostel. The stove didn't work so we spent what felt like an eternity to wait for our food to get warm. Ventilation above the stove was not connected to anything so it didn't work.

Safety
First aid kit hanging on the wall was empty (showing signs 'please refill'). Emergency number that I called because we were overbooked was of the previous owner of the hotel (who owned it four years ago). This number was on the door of our room saying çall in case of emergency, eventually I found the correct number somewhere at the reception. The rooms have locks that open with a code, but this code does not change regularly so basically anyone could get in if they stayed there before, know somebody who stayed there before, or if they find the code in another way.

Darkside hostel

This hostel was so filthy and disgusting we could not stay the night. When we arrived there was only one working toilet for the whole hostel and it was covered in urine and had no toilet roll. The rooms were underground and cramped, unventilated and dirty. The member of staff at the desk was rude and unhelpful and would not refund us any of our money despite us leaving after 2 minutes of seeing the room. As two females in our twenties we did not feel comfortable or safe in this hostel and would recommend people avoid it completely. Nothing positive to say about this hostel at all and would rate it 0 stars if possible.

Could not stay here! Filthy, Lack of Facilities , Unhelpful Staff, Claustrophobic

I expected to get my room with sheets. No, you have to order them in advance (if you arrive late) and they charge extra for them. My (single) room was very small, and the tap at the toilet was broken. But the atmosphere is nice. Just don't expect the price to include everything, it doesn't.
