Had a wonderful stay in the end of July at Strand Hotell in Borgholm. The service was sharp and attentive. The room was facing the sea and consisted of a bedroom, living room, hallway, bathroom and pentry. We order breakfast in the room and it was plentiful. The location in the center on the picturesque town and with walking distance to the most impressive ruin was perfect. Everything was top notch, and well worth the somewhat higher cost.

What was bad
There was no light or electricity in one sleepingroom. I booked a family room and got a standard room. It was not fresh, the floors where dusty. The poolarea was not clean. After 10:00 in the morning you couldn’t get coffee or tea. Breakfast was the same every day. The hard toast was soft (old). The neighboors had a balkon where they bbq, it smelled awefull.
