Casa Felisa Casa Rural

Found this place randomly online while searching for housing alternatives while climbing and hiking at Riglos and Rodellar for 5 days. WOW! Casa Felisa is amazing! We loved it so much we added a night on (we ended up staying 5 nights) and also made reservations to return in two weeks for four nights. From the moment we started driving down the beautiful turnoff before grumpy Ayerbe, we knew we were headed somewhere special. Casa Felisa is a calm, meticulously clean place, designed with love, run by love. The owners are generous, kind and clearly dedicated to Casa Felisa and those staying with them (as well as the area/town, one of the owners is the local mayor!). I can’t believe for 40/euro a night we had a wonderfully comfortable and contemporary bedroom/bathroom and access to the rest of the house, which includes a two-story living room with fireplaces on both floors filled with books, computer, TV with movies, sound system, wet bar, a deck with grill for our use, downstairs is a full open bar with about 15-20 bottles of different spirits, stocked fridge with snacks, fruit and diverse beverages (water, soda varieties, wine, beers, etc. All the food and drink is on the honor system and the price per glass/can or shot is posted with a little bank for adding your money). There is also a dining room you can use anytime as well as the things in the kitchen, or tell them ahead of time and for 15 bucks each they will make you a fabulous three-course dinner! Breakfast is included and put out around the time you want so the food is not sitting out for hours: you get meat, cheese, toast, homemade yogurt and breakfast cake made by the owner’s 91-yr old mother, etc. or you can pay a tiny bit for a cooked version with eggs, etc. The wifi was automatic, no password, so we could hook up outside before even entering the property. The walls are a tiny bit thin when people decide to do the nasty late at night in the room next door, but mostly it was very quiet! There were two nights with no other guests so that was extremely peaceful after long days of climbing! This would be a great place for climbers who are with friends because you can really enjoy each others company in the living rooms and dining room and then have private rooms/bath at night. We loved talking with the owners and really enjoyed our time at Casa Felisa! I look forward to returning later this month!
