Hotel Miramar Barcelona 

We have just had the nicest 4 days at this hotel; the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we celebrated a birthday and our anniversary in style! We were most touched especially, by the extra lengths Lucia and Liliana went to, from an early check in and complimentary room upgrade with a bottle of fizz in the room, to birthday cake and lit candle at breakfast! A late check out was no problem, a complimentary executive airport transfer was kindly offered at the end of our stay and a general willingness from all the staff (a special shout out to the pool bar staff too!) was much appreciated by us both, to make this a wonderful and relaxing break. The hotel is smart, clean, smells divine and has lovely touches, from contemporary art work and installations to an airy cocktail lounge with live piano music. The pool area had ample sun lounges, towels, sun and shade, a great pool bar, with a tasty menu offering and attentive staff. We very much enjoyed the fact that the hotel is slightly out of the very busy part of the city but only a 10 minute taxi ride into the gothic quarter. It was nice to escape the crowds and return to our swanky pad each night! What a perfect few days. A sincere thank you from us both.
