30 reviewsThis hotel is not for everyone. It is a charming property and very nice staff. But if you stay here, realize it is intended to be a basic place in a former hanok, not really a hotel with all the amenities you expect (restaurant, for example; on Sunday, it was work to find a coffee shop or something open to eat breakfast so I would have appreciated the hotel having at least breakfast). However, it does not lack much, really. The room had temperature control, cable TV, and a full and modern bathroom. What I liked the best was that it is in the heart of the historic Bukchon area, old Seoul. It is a very different feel than the rest of the city. Not knowing what to expect, I didn't want to spend my 5 nights in Seoul there so I had booked myself there for only two nights. That was a good idea as after two days, I was eager to enjoy some of the features of a full hotel (breakfast, lobby area, etc.). But it was definitely a cool place to stay for a night or two and get a totally different feel of Seoul than most visitors get. In summary, knowing what it is supposed to be, it was great. If you go in expecting a full hotel, you may not be satisfied.
