Residence Pangyo

The serviced apartments, which can be booked like a hotel, are located on floors 8F to 10F. There’s really nothing to indicate where they are – no signage outside and no directions provided with the booking. But a friendly parking garage attendant told me to go in Gate A and take the elevator to 8F. I wandered down the hallway and eventually came to the sort- of office, where I checked in. It seemed a bit dodgy, but it worked fine. The room was spacious and well- equipped, with a kitchen and washer – dryer combo and two beds. It was stocked with dishes and the usual things you would want in a serviced apartment, plusses for a two- night stay. There were bathroom amenities, too. It was comfortable and everything worked well. The area was quiet at night, and though the road between the building and Pangyo Station is very busy by day, it’s quiet at night. The Metro station and bus stops are just across the street, and one of the main restaurant / bar areas is right there, too. A few hundred meters and you are in the Pangyo tech area with even more bars and restaurants. The Metro from Pangyo Station gets you to Gangnam Station in four stops and 14 minutes, so you are in the heart of Seoul’s most vibrant district with a quick and inexpensive ride. Pangyo Residence is convenient and much less expensive than the nearby brand- name hotel; the rate was about ¼ of the brand name place. A great deal. The hallways might be dim, but the value is bright!
