Zangarna Game Lodge

We have been at Zangarna for a 10 days stay and only recommend it. 
The lodge is located in the heart of Waterburg and is blessed with a very fauna and flaura. The absence of the Big 5 allows for daily walks and meetings with animals in the middle of their environment.
The lodges and the common areas are of an excellent standard. The Zangarna team is warm and charming.
Food was excellent thanks to Linda’s meals.

Spent a week there with freinds in October 2019. Words fall short to describe the vibe of this lodge. It’s luxurious but at the same time you feel so in touch with the bush! Spectacular walks, so much to see, rooms are extremely comfortable, food was delicious, the team so kind and welcoming, quality price is unrivaled in South Africa ! very affordable for what is on offer ! Big thanks to everyone, will be back soon for sure!

Went to Zangarna Lodge for the first time in August last year for five days.
Wow,wow,wow !!!
This place is unique.
The location is amazing with its pond,boma and pool.
The lodges are beautifully decorated and clean.The management team & staff are very welcoming and caring.The food and service very good.
Tracking animals was an unbelievable & unforgettable experience.
The ideal trip is to book the complete lodge with family or friends.
I will certainly return for another breathtaking experience in this 5 star Lodge.

It’s been a long time I wanted to tell you about Zangarna Lodge,
I spent 10 days at Zangarna lodge from the 20th to the 31st of august 2019. It was my fourth stay at the lodge and I loved it!
As soon as I arrived at Zangarna after a 3 hr drive from Johannesburh airport on a scenic road, I found myself immersed in another world and bewitched by the African bush with its unique noises on a background of deep silence.’

The owners of the lodge are two great architects from Mauritius, who have designed and decorated the lodge with great taste, combining the comfort of a luxury hotel, and the simplicity of a guest house.
The omnipresent and discreet team, do their best to make you feel happy.
There are no constraints in Zangarna, everyone can live at their own pace, own time of awakening, of  breakfast, walking, driving or quad biking, to see the animals. There may not be the big 5 in Zangarna, and that's why I'm going back there, because I'm free to venture out and walk long distances on my own, and watch the huge variety of animals with my binoculars and camera without any danger.
If you ever want to see the big 5, 30 minutes from Zangarna there is a very nice game  reserve where you can go for a day drive.
And finally at nightfall, the joy of meeting around the boma, listening to everyone talking about their day, while sipping a good malt whisky, and watching the Kudus, impalas, blessbbuck, zebra, wilderbiest, etc..drinking in the pond only 20 meters in front of you.
I am in the tourism business, I have travelled a lot, and it is the place that combines luxury, comfort, nature, walks, rest and well-being.
believe me, it's an experience to live at least once in your life, the African bush as a couple, family or friends. GO THERE !

We spent 6 nights at Zangarna. Absolutely amazing experience. Fantastic team. Six Beautiful lodges designed by two notorious Mauritian architects. 5 star comfort, food was amazing. We walked a lot , did the game drive and viewed all the bush animals. There is the big 5 not far from the lodge, horse riding and a fabulous golf course. It’s a standing order we will be there every year. Big thanks to the team for their hospitality !

This is our second stay at Zangarna Game Lodge. Africa at its best: Peaceful luxury in a real classy game lodge.
Enjoy your drink at sunset on the deck, watch the animals enjoying their drink as well fifty meters away and feel far far away from civilization.
And last but not least, a big improvement on food quality and service service with the new cook Linda.
