Bed and Breakfast Bonjour

We had the privilege to stay at Bonjour for 4 wonderful nights. Mike and Eileen have a wonderful home and they are fantastic hosts. Our room “Tree Top” was beautifully decorated and equipped and the balcony was a wonderful place to spend mornings and evenings. The pool was beautifully clean and our 3 year old daughter just wanted to stay and play. Breakfast was also awesome. We will be back! 

Absolute pleasure to stay at, thank you Mike and Eileen ♥️. I stayed at many homes turned into B&B business, this is very rare place where you get B&B - in a home. The essence of hospitality - warm welcome, good rooms, great breakfast, attending any requests with ease, even for my handful 5 year old... Feeling welcome like in no other place. Looking forward for the next time.

We stayed for one night at Bonjour and it was quite a pleasant stay. Very clean spacious room with everything we needed in it- TV, free wifi,  comfortable bed, clean sheets, clean and very spacious ensuite bathroom with good water pressure, a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, water heater, complimentary tea and coffee, plates, cups, utensils. We even had a balcony with chairs and a table and with a view of the garden.

The hosts Mike & Eileen were also lovely people, very welcoming and friendly. Mike loves snakes and so does my husband so they had a good chat about snakes.

The breakfast plate serving was generous; the breakfast table he the usual with cereals, jams, bread, etc.

The outdoor area was also very nice; parking was good too.

The only downside was our room was facing the road and we could hear the sound of vehicles passing through.  We did have a good night's sleep though.

Overall, it was a good stay and we would gladly stay here again, and would recommend the place to friends.

This is a very lovely place to spend even longer than a few days. Mike & Eileen and very nice hosts and Mike has a lot of good recommendations what to do in the area. The beach is just a short walk away and close to the B&B you have a good choice of restaurants, supermarkets and shopping malls. The rooms are very clean and cozy. They even offer towels and sun umbrellas which you can use for the beach. Breakfast is yummy too especially the fresh fruit with muesli variontions and omelettes with fresh avocado as a side. Perfect stay at the end of our South Africa trip!

We had a wonderful experience, looks exactly like the photos.....very beautiful! Room was spacious and clean, beds where comfortable.  You can walk straight to the beach and it's a short, straight drive from the busy centre of Umhlanga.  Breakfast is tasty and plentiful, with lots of fresh delicious fruit. I would definitely certainly recommend this BnB!

Great stay at Bonjour last week.  The spacious B&B is perfectly situated in La Lucia for the local mall as well as the beach (a minute's walk away).  Excellent but unobtrusive hosting from Mike and Eileen highly appreciated as I generally go for the more impersonal large hotel experience.  My poolside room with private patio was comfortable and very spacious, with all amenities (mini fridge, microwave, kettle with tea, coffee etc) and a great bed.  I'll be back, no question.

We stayed for 11 nights and we could not have asked for more. Mike and Eileen were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was a joy and Eileen made sure there was a great variety. It was a happy, restful and memorable 11 days. Thank you again Mike and Eileen. We will be back.
