We had a very short stay at the Golf House a year ago, and was so impressed with the accommodation, the owners  Malcolm and Kate, and Southbroom, we just had to return for a longer stay. We had the most warm welcome you will get anywhere from a wonderful lady called Thandi, who together with her team kept our room impeccable for our stay

     We chose early November which apparently is just before the main holiday season, We had a fair bit of rain, but it’s warm rain and did not deter us from getting out and about.  The beach is a short walk from the Golf House, and you can have a pleasant beach walk to the Umkobi lagoon one way, and the Riptide restaurant the other.

    There are several restaurants within easy reach of the Golf House, from one of which, the Trattoria, you can witness the thousands of Barn Swallows coming in to roost in the reed bed at dusk...a spectacle not to be missed.

     We had a unit called Albatross, which the same as Birdy that we had on our last visit, is easy to relax in, and we even had the luxury of being lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the surf breaking on the beach.
    The Golf House is ideally situated to explore Southbroom, and  with Malcolm and Kate looking after us so well we had a perfect break.

     Certainly worth the 8 thousand kilometre journey to get there !!

A return visit.

Neat clean bed room with a lovely unique bathroom.  The pool was clean and looked very inviting. The lounge and bar area were neat and comfortable,  The book selection was very diverse with a lot of informative books on travel and South African history both on the Zulus and the South African Boer wars.

Classy comfort

Our Hostess Ms Kate is a fantastic host. Very warm and receptive, my daughter and i were wowed by her hospitality ! Very cosy room. The welcome sherry on the house :-) I  would choose the Golf house as my vacation home a million times !

Awesome place. Value for money !

The amount of detail in this house is quite impressive. Ok, you might get lost coming into this property, we did, couple of times, surprisingly in a straight road. Anyways, that's our fault. The climb into the property is steep, leave your Ferrari at home. But the climb is worth it. The ocean view is endless and beautiful. The whole yard had mini states of animals and all. Even inside the room. Shower was nicely done, has an element of being outside shower. We did not eat there. But overall nice but really brief stay, we are coming back again.

Definately coming back

The Golf House is well situated for golfers as well as non-golfists. All rooms have sea views, are very comfortable, furnished with a love of detail. The fridge, tea and coffee as well as free sherry. And heated towels. On the large terrace each room has a comfortable seating area where you can sit and enjoy yourself even in bad weather. The kitchen is very large and extremely well equipped. Also the large community room with bar and donkey. The hosts Kate and Malcom are very warm, well organized and always helpful. The club, for example, for breakfast, is within 5 minutes' walk. At the golf beach and Granny's pool, it is 10 minutes' walk away. We have a great time to relax and we hope Kate will come and thank you again.

Well located very comfortable guest house

Kate and her staf are always there to help you and make your stay a real feast.We feel at home when we visit the Golfhouse. Position to the golf is excellent. Kate looks after the reservations for the very Good restaurants in the neighbarhood.

So Good personal attention

Our welcome on arrival was without doubt the best we have been greeted with anywhere ever. The accommodation .... Birdie, more than lived up to our expectations. When we met our hosts Malcolm and Kate, we were made to feel, special and completely at home. Although we only stayed one night, we were really well looked after and certainly hope to return there again, sooner rather than later.

An amazing stay at The Golf House

Golf House is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable with fabulous views over the Indian Ocean. Kate and Malcolm are fantastic hosts and extremely helpful with everything and the staff friendly and accommodating.  Sitting on the balcony watching whales splashing about was simply magical. We will visit again and again.

Comfortable to luxurious, very good kitchen facilities, rooms perfect, quiet, very casual owners, first choice, great terrace with beautiful views, pool, barbecue, a perfect place to relax, were on their way from Cape Town to Imfolozi.
