What a huge disappointment. Booking was made for dinner and breakfast.  At arrival I was informed that they do not serve dinner or breakfast as they do not have supplies. My company will not refund me for the dinner that I had to buy because my booking made provision for dinner. I was informed at 20:30 there will be breakfast after I made a big noice about the bad service.

We had a great stay & everything was nice and neat & clean. However there were others guests who were very noisy & disturbing from time to time. other than that i have no complaints what so ever.thanks

My Review

What a disappointment.  Only saw glowing reports about this spot, yet actual experience was far from good.  I have yet to sign into the place.  Upon arrival, I could not get into property.  Phoning the number on gate led to voicemail.  When eventually let in, nobody welcomed me.  Lady was on the phone, and her "friend" gave me keys and showed me where my room was.  I was not checked in, shown what is what in my room or the property, given breakfast times, or any info of that sort.

The lady in reception and her friends sat and had wine and beers in front of the property till 10 in the night.  Quite loudly, and they left all their empty bottles, glassed and cigarette butts on the tables outside.  As I did not know what time breakfast was, I went to the breakfast area at 6:45.  No coffee available, and water was not boiling in urn.

I can now confirm that I've got another home in Nelspruit because I don't see myself booking somewhere else when I'm in Nelspruit beside sleeping on Nels River Guesthouse and Spa. I even wish to experience your Spa because I think it's also in a good standard due to the service I received.

please sort ur parking its too small, and please advise the client that you will need a proof of payment in hand before we  check in don't say the client must send a proof of payment  then you said you didn't get that was a frustration.

PARKING

I'm not sure where the "spa" is because I didn't see one. The rooms are very average and relatively small. The TV channels are extremely limited and there was no normal coffee available in the building,only decaf.No fresh milk was available in the rooms or for breakfast. I was discouraged to have breakfast at 0700  as that was in the middle of a shift change.. No work station was available.

No hot water in the middle of the winter, no internet and no one had answers for our questions. Terrible experience

As we arrived the gates to the entrance and the hotel itself was locked, there was no one inside. We had to call the number on the reservation to find out that the admin was so sick so no one was working. We waited for someone to arrive, they let us in and showed the room. The room that we booked was clean, although there was no separation between the bedroom and bathroom, or toilet.The dining area inside felt like sitting in a basement, as there were no windows and the area itself felt very small.We wanted to go for dinner into town but needed to make sure there will be someone when we come back (24 hour staff was written on the hotel description on the website) . But the person that was there at the moment wanted to give us the keys to the hotel itself as he was planning on leaving for the night. We left the hotel and made another reservation after that.

AVOID this place at ALL costs! No management available, no breakfasts for 2 days when you have paid for breakfast, no checking on you to see if all ok - NOTHING !!! DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE !!!  The staff refuse to give the owners details ... why you have to ask yourself ???
