Intaba Lodge

Intaba Lodge was beautiful: its location, its views and its peacefulness, it really is a relaxing place to stay. Pierre and Valerie were the perfect hosts. I spent 4 nights there with my dad and stepmum as we were meeting up with family for a celebration of my dad’s 90th birthday. I had the Green House room which was fantastic, comfortable, secluded, with everything I needed to hand. It even had the bathroom in a cupboard which was very neat. It had a small kitchenette, very handy if you’re spending longer there or want to microwave a ready meal in the evening. The breakfasts were fabulous, lots of choice and just enough of it to satisfy without feeling overloaded. It’s on a steep hill so there are lots of steps but my parents managed even at their age, so it’s ok as long as you take your time. They stayed in the Garden Room as it suited them better as they didn’t have to negotiate the steps too often. We all agreed though that it was a lovely break in Hout Bay and we would thoroughly recommend Intaba Lodge.
