I recommend this hotel because if his Restaurent , very nice food very nice service . It is near a place for horse stable . Good price was so nice . I tried chicken there and it deserves . You can have a meal for 2 person for only 20 euros 

On our way back to Germany from Hungary we decided to make Guesthouse Gazdovsky in the middle of Topolcianky village our overnight stop. The place turned out to be an absolute gem. The property covers nearly a block with secure parking in the rear. Although we didn’t run our fingers over the door jamb we decided that we had never come across such well maintained and spotlessly clean piece of real estate. Our room was nicely decorated and had a small bathroom –with a good size shower- and a separate toilet. The mattresses are a little thin which makes the beds quite firm. The linens and towels were of a good quality. There is no air conditioning provided but the ceiling fan was a blessing during the very warm period of our stay.
We had a nice evening meal which included soup, a stuffed potato pancake, cordon bleu and fried potatoes washed down with 5 half liters of local beer at very moderate price of Euro 21.00. 
For breakfast we had bread, butter, ham, honey and chocolate spread and 2 cups of coffee each.
The double room for 2 guests with breakfast cost only Euro 29.00. 
Would we go there again?  Absolutely yes and we would even make a modest detour to do so.
As foreign guests there are a few things which in our minds need to be addressed. 
After a long hot drive we stopped outside the Guesthouse. I went in introduced myself and asked where we should park the car. The answer was that I should present my passport, pay the bill and then we can park the car. Not a good first impression!
The TV was relatively small and we were unable to get it to work. The staff was informed and after their attempts to get it to come to life they decided that it was indeed defective. The decision made by the staff was that an engineer would check it out next day. Neither a replacement nor another room was offered!
Next morning at breakfast it was repaired by another staff member in seconds!
We were not informed that a second cup of coffee was not included as part of the breakfast meal. Probably a good idea to inform foreign guests of the fact!
As our plugs were of the German Schuko type we were unable to use our hair dryer. We asked the staff if a hair dryer was available and the answer was no. Next morning at breakfast other staff was shocked and assured us that in fact a hair dryer was available!
The owner has already decided to hold a selection of electrical adapters for use by his foreign guests.
A little staff training would resolve all these minor communication problems.
The village has a great castle which was used as a summer residence of the Habsburg royal house. After WWI, it also served as a summer residence of Czechoslovak presidents. It is surrounded by a large park.

We had stayed here a few years ago and decided to book this accommodation again as it was on our way to Krakow. We had booked a suite at a moderate price and found a spacious clean bedroom with a seating area. Bathroom and toilette were separated but only had folding doors. We probably were the only guests in the house because we didn’t hear or see anybody and no other car was parked in the secure area in the back. We slept well because the mattress was comfortable. Breakfast was served between 08.00 to 09.00 am. We were served little containers with jam, bread, yogurt and could order eggs but no cheese or cold cuts were offered. The waitress was friendly but didn’t speak English or German.   
Upon arrival the service was neutral that is not to say quite ignorant. We had dinner in the restaurant but were not impressed with the meal.
We liked the location and enjoyed a walk in the nearby park with its renaissance castle. We would stay in the hotel again but would forgo dinner.

Good location, nice pension. 
We got an appartment, the room had everything but was quite simple. What I didnt liked were folding doors to bathroom and toilett. The bin was only in the toilette. 
The prices is allright, including breakfast. The breakfast is simple but good enough. 

Staff was extremely polity and talkative. We enjoyed their company and the best think was the lunch menu. Oh, so delicious and good value! 

I will come back again, at least for the food!
