Alyaska Hotel

I stayed at the Alyaska hotel during a recent business trip to Noyabrsk for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised. To put the review in context, this is my first visit to Noyabrsk. Basics to have an idea: location is good, though Noyabrsk is not too big a city. Hotel is close to restaurants (5-min cab ride). I thing I liked is that is next to a gas station with a C-store in case you need anything. Hotel is maybe 15 mins from airport. Hotel has 4 floors, too 3 floors have rooms. I estimate around 22 rooms per floor. I don't speak Russian but the hotel staff was friendly and made sure we could communicate at all times. Check in was easy. Not much of a lobby but not much is needed either. Restaurant is in bottom floor. The room had the essentials: a bed with 2 night-stands, a desk, a TV and a closet. There is no coffee/tea maker or mini-bar so bring some snacks with you if you like that. There is a mineral water dispenser (aka water cooler) on each floor though. Room is well heated (essential in tough winters there) and comfortably-sized. The bathroom was in excellent shape of cleanliness, was comfortable and had a great shower as well. Now, this is not a 5 star hotel, not does it pretend to be. But what makes the Alyaska even better is how clean everything is, which is nice to have when coming back from work while away from home. The restaurant has a dinner menu with pictures (I didn't see an English version but didn't ask either) and serves great food and drinks. Breakfast is more modest but I didn't have a problem fueling up for the day. The restaurant doubles up as lounge at night, so you can have a relaxing drink after work if you wish. Check out was easy (maybe 5 mins). I'm staying again here. My only recommendation would be a coffee/tea maker for the room (now that I think about it, they may provide upon request but I never asked)
