Pensiune Restaurant La Cassa

We went there for dinner two days in a row after we discovered this restaurant. We asked to be seated outside, and we liked the garden and the lazy cats there :) The food was very tasty and service was great. They serve mostly traditional food, and the portions are big! Good value for money, I recommend this place.

Good food, fine dining, traditional food, tasty, large portions. The rooms are very clean and cozy, bright and warm. The personal is very thoughtful, anyway five stars location! 
The desserts are a piece of heaven

It may not look much from the outside, but it was a lovely experience. The entire staff was incredibly kind (reception, restaurant, cleaning) and the foods and drinks were amazing. Affordable prices, awesome food and Romanian wines/cognac available. Nice terrace in the back if you visit in the summer and plenty of cats if you're a fan.

I stayed here for 3 days with my sister and it was by far the highlight of our holiday.  The rooms are exceptionally clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and a huge plus is that they keep a table reserved for you at the restaurant if you have a room booked.  The food here is amazing,  I had read the reviews before and it definitely does not disappoint.  We could barely finish the generous portions.  The staff can also recommend activities in the area and you will definitely not be bored with the picturesque villages and mountains.  There is a supermarket right next door and you are basically in the city center.  But you are in Maramures after all,  so if you walk half an hour you find yourself on a country road, hiking through the forest.  Highly recommended location!

We had a great week-end at La Cassa, the room was big and clean, breakfast included in the room price, various one. The staff was great. Every time I asked for something I received it. The food was delicious. For kids it is a big playground where parents can stay and relax.

We had a very pleasant surprise here. We ate two times during our stay. You will probably need a reservation, because it's always booked. The place is amazing, the food is really good, menu changes a little every day, and every dish is perfect. Highly recommend this place.

We couldn't have found a better accommodation to make our stay in Maramures perfect. Starting with the spotlessly clean rooms with beautiful interior design to the dinning, relaxation area and backyard - which is beautifully lightened during evenings making it perfect for cozy and relaxing nights. The food is absolutely amazing  - during our stay we tried almost everything from the menu and each time we were delighted (great chef!).
We felt warmly welcomed by the staff, which were helpful, friendly and went over the top to make our stay there flawless. They were also very helpful in guiding us for places to visit and biking/hiking trails.
All in all : a great experience, looking forward to going back there again!

The best food in town! here we met a very friendly and helpful staff, a calm and quiet atmosphere, and an exceptional, traditional food with a special taste!  I highly recommend to anyone passing through the city.

La Cassa is a very clean, comfortable and convenient place with a large restaurant that serves very tasty food with lots of variety.   The staff are very friendly and competent, and seem to speak every language.  We had three rooms in the annex building; they were great.   This is a good base for visiting the UNESCO churches and Barsana, the Mocanita railway, and hiking from the vicinity of Borsa in the beautiful Rodnei mountains. 
   When you arrive, if you are headed south on Route 18, you DO turn where the LA CASSA sign on the Route 18 says to turn.  You do have to drive across the north end of the parking lot, then you will see La Cassa.   Do not go to the road farther south in front of the Penny shopping market.

Very nice place

Pro : 
- Position of the pension
- Service
- Room was good
- Garden is magic there
- Food is good with huge quantities
- Breakfast is just amazing 

Con : 
- No extra goodies in the room (no shampoo, tea, hair dryer,....)
- People from the hotel wear the mask under the nose
- We had a big bed with 2 mattress, was not comfortable and always falling between the both mattress

A good pension, i would go back for the breakfast and the garden with pleasure

Wonderful stay

We had a lovely dinner here. The location and the design are certainly a plus for the place. It's difficult to find a table without a reservation. We tried to book one of day 1 with a couple hours before dinner and it was impossible, so we booked for the upcoming day. 

When we arrived we had to wait for abt 10 mins for our table to be cleaned. The service was fast and the staff were helpful. The food, however, was not hot enough and it was not really that tasty. A tad salty (I had pasta), while my boyfriend had some beef that could have been more tender.

The menu differs on a daily basis almost, they have dated printed handouts. Also, it is not varied, they only have a couple of meals.

Beautiful and affordable place to stay for a holiday in the historic Maramures. The place is very cosy and has a beautiful garden with trees and flowers at the back of the main building where you can enjoy a drink or a meal. In the reception area they offer a beautiful private room for special events which can accommodate up to 12 people at the time.   Very friendly and professional staff who can communicate very well in English. The breakfast was excellent and offered a wide variety of food and drinks. Rooms are decent size and very clean. WiFi can be sometimes weak in the new building but the signal in the reception area was very good. The place has got easy access by car to all the important touristic points in the area (Vasser Valley steam train,  Borsa ski resort and Horses Waterfall, Moisei Monument and Monastery, Barsana Monastery).
