Tudor Pension is located at about 6 km from Rîşnov, on the road to Predeal. The position is very suitable for tourists in transit and has a wide green area all around. I was twice at the restaurant: on a working day on it is not crowded, it is clean and pleasant. If you want it is possible to sit outside. The service was courteous and without delay, the prices are decent. I left happy with it, I liked the trout.

This review is only for the restaurant.

We stopped here to have the lunch and it turns that we have made a very good choice. The food was excellent and we didn't wait long, having in mind that the food was freshly made. The prices were ok and the service was good.
I recommend this restaurant.

After a long drive and having to drive longer still to get home, as a family, we decided to stop at Pensiunea Tudor for lunch. The location was the main attraction for us. It is in a beautiful setting, and our eight year old daughter loved the playgrounds and the outdoor terrace.
The restaurant was clean and quiet (we were the only customers at that moment). The service was quick and the lady that served us was pleasant and polite. The food  was fresh, cooked well and tasty. And everything was very fast.
I have seen some bad reviews about this Pensiune, but we've had a good experience there. The entire family enjoyed our stop there and we drove home refreshed and in a good mood! So, it is worth trying!

Happy we have stopped to eat here

The restaurant

We stayed here for 2 nights during the summer. We were a big group with a lot of children. The service was very good, they were even kind enough to let us have a grill as a special request from the bday boy. Rooms were new and spacious. Food was good and not that pricey. wonderful view, fresh air, trambulines, football court...it has it all. BUT and unfortunetly this is a big but, the security is very low. The parking lot is right next to the street and 2 of our cars were highjacked during the night. Plus in the late evening a gipsy man was in the hallway for many hours and i seriously doubt he was a guest. He kept asking for the hour and left soon after we all went to bed. The same night our cars got robbed so we assume the 2 were connected...

So it's a great place if you don't go there by car.

Great rooms, great terrace and playground, poor security

Stayed here for a couple of nights.
Location wise is decent apart from the constant noise from the passing by traffic as the hotel is very close to the main road.
The worst part is the food.We are not extravagant people wanting to eat michelin star food but this place does not even get the basics right.
The menu is very limited, the waiters are not very nice.
For example i orderred a bulz which is a tradional romanian food and in the menu it was described as having home made sausages.When the food arrived ...guess what...the sausages were defo not home made.
I also ordered a tomato salad.Given the fact we are in full tomato season i was expecting some locally sourced , tasty tomatoes.Instead i received a blunt store bought vegetable.
I also bought a melon from the nearby market as i was with 3 kids and i know that they like this fruit. I asked the waiter for a knife so that i can give some melon to the kids but he bluntly said i cannot consume this in the restaurant. Bear in mind i am not talking about a 4 or 5 star hotel and i was expecting a much friendlier service as is the case with many other small hotels like this.
Much better places out there.

The owner of the unit, Mr. Tudor, even though we had already made a reservation and announced to all guests the day before, sent us an exorbitant price for 6 traditional plates (3 plates for adults - 4 people/plates and 2 plates for children - 4 copies / rate), the amount of 1860 Ron. We should only refuse. I want to tell you that I have never been to this place and only searched on the internet, but the way I made the call and the way he presented himself as a service provider is unprofessional and even bad.
I just sent him in a file how to arrange the dishes on the plate, their number and type, and just by the fact that I was very well prepared and to the point with the desired amounts, somehow he probably felt bothered that someone really wants to know what he is ordering and how much he is ordering right from the start. He sent us these exorbitant prices just to turn us down. I am not suggesting that this event would have lasted only 3-4 hours from 5pm to 8pm when the kids are young.
I am in no way recommending the services of this men/pension.
