Pensiunea Iris

You will feel at home at Iris. It’s an older property, but a cozy one. They go out of their way to help you get what you need. We really appreciated their warmth and hospitality. The property is located very close to the train station and to the lovely forest.

The pension is situated 10 minutes walk from the center in a quiet place. The rooms are clean and with everything you need. We stayed in a room with jacuzzi which was big and also had a balcony that was not expensive at all. There is a fridge; a  big TV and a very nice jacuzzi. The bed was not so good as the mattress has arcs but we slept ok eventually. The restaurant serves good food at good prices and the breakfast which is 20 lei per person is a buffet with good variety of choices. The staff is very polite and helpful. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Very nicely equipped place to stay and super friendly and helpful owner of the pensiunea. The place is located near the hiking tracks and has beautiful surroundings. Near by are some small shops to buy food and crafts. Nothing is very expensive there. Close to the place are located swimming pools and spa procedure centers.

We spent New Year at this lovely guesthouse. We had a stay of 4 nights.
The mountain area where it is situated is very good for hiking and winter sports.
The guesthouse is very well designed, with a very friendly staff.
Food and cook are excellent.
An excellent place to feel welcomed.

Very nice and cosy place to stay for a group of people

A very good guesthouse for small budget

The location is easy to find, not far from the main road, having a dedicated parking near by the guesthouse. The views from this location are quite beautiful, especially from top floors. Rooms are decent in size and clean, equipped with small fridge and TV. We had 2 rooms on top floor, where bathrooms are quite small and require upgrade (problems with shower head, sink tap, etc.), also no ventilation. There are also very nice balconies on top floor. Personnel (not many seen around) seems to be nice and try to help. On the positive side, I can mention: views from top floors, decent pricing, clean location. There are also some negatives: the guest house is squeezed between many other villas (lower floors have no view, lot of noise coming from neighbors being just meters away and having party till morning); summer time when very warm, top floors become very hot - in excess of 30-32 degrees C, with no air conditioning and difficult to ventilate (B-B-Q's around). Room cleaning is done ONLY by requirement (including garbage pick up or sheets/towels change), at least cleaning should be done on a daily basis. We did not use restaurant because lunch is not offered, while dinner fixed menu, which I consider another minus. All in all we had almost decent 4 days vacation, but the temperature in our rooms and restaurant minuses downgraded our overall impression.

Nice locations, decent pricing, some things can be improved.

The location of Pensiunea Iris is really good near the main road.The furniture and bathroom is outdated but it was clean and the price is really low for the area.There are really nice restaurants in the area,
