We loved it. Quiet, beautiful, and right in the heart ❤️

Very clean and cozy. The bed and pillows were VERY comfortable! Safe there were 3 different locked doors between entrance and including room door. Air conditioning with controls to put how you want! Will definitely stay again!

Charming, old facility ... Room is relatively  quiet  considering it is located on a busy street . Bathroom needs brighter lighting.Name  of the hotel needs to be posted on or near the front entrance to make it easier to find while driving. Will return on our next visit to OSJ.

Crystal was responsive, kind and helpful.  She let us drop our bags while we explored and allowed an early check-in.The property's location was super convenient to all areas of Old San Juan with a multitude of restaurants, historic architecture and sights within easy walking distance.Would definitely stay again!

What a great and unique place to stay! I felt safe and was conveniently located to everything we wanted to do. Hostess was very helpful and responded quickly!!

Check in was so easy and the host was friendly and helpful.  Our room was so beautiful and the location was perfect, such a great experience for our first time in PR.  I definitely recommend this place if you plan to stay in old San Juan.

Perfect downtown location. Balconies condo was beautiful, loved opening up the doors to look down at the bustling street. You can see the square and part of the fort right from the balcony. It is noisy, but I just ran white noise machine and had no issues sleeping. Highly recommend.

Nice apartment with two balconies that open up onto a bustling street. Close by to everything including some good restaurants. Only downside is the very loud music coming from the neighboring bar that continued until midnight on Sunday. Fortunately they closed much earlier on Monday night so we had a more restful evening.

We were very happy in this guest house. Our vintage suite was very comfortable with cute vintage decor. We were centrally located and greatly enjoyed wandering streets of Old San Juan. We were able to self check in/out.

I loved staying here! It’s located in the heart of Old San Juan and it made it super easy for me and my mom to explore this area of the city! Room was super clean and the staff was very friendly and responsive!

Stay in the middle of it alll

Large and airy room on second floor of an old building in the center of Old San Juan.  Great (secure) location for walking the city.Refrigerator, microwave, and sink for minor cooking. Two very big doors open to small balconies overlooking the street. Quiet at night with the air condition on.Highly recommended for those who like quirky accommodations.

I had a pleasant stay at Casa of Essence. There were a few things I wasn't expecting... No hot water in the bathroom sink or the kitchen. The shower was lukewarm water. The tile floors had a shellac on them that was peeling off everywhere so I couldn't walk barefoot anywhere in the suite. The staff was nice...I just feel these issues should have been noted by Expedia

Excellent location in old San Juan. Easily walkable to several landmarks and a ton of restaurants and shopping stores. Additionally, the shuttle does pass around the area. Post was kind enough to let us store our luggage while we looked around the town. The only thing I wish that was in the unit Was an exhaust system to help with humidity control.

Excellent location

Such a lovely room right in the middle of all of the cafes, restaurants, and beautiful views. We especially appreciated the dehumidifier! I got quick response whenever I had a question and the site manager was very nice. I loved being able to take a night stroll and just walk back to the room instead of taking an Uber. There is a window that lets in light from the hall which isn’t a big deal if you don’t mind but you might want to be aware that it will not be pitch black at night if light bothers you. There are also birds across the hall that chirp rather loudly in the early morning. My partner and I didn’t have a problem with this but again, it might be something to consider if you are sensitive to noises in the morning. Since the room has no outside light, we appreciated the light coming in through the hall and we like the sounds of birdsong so we had a good time.

Check in went smoothly without a hitch and the location is perfect for exploring OSJ and the nearby Castillo.   The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean, if a little tight.  We were only there to sleep though so tight quarters were not a problem.  Waking up to the sounds of birdsong was a pleasant surprise.  Conveniently close to good music, restaurants, and attractions.

Convenient, clean and comfy

This location is convenient to the Plaza Colon.  The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. The host really helped out when I found two ladies just outside looking for their accommodations that turned out to be bogus.  So our host was able to accommodate them even though it was REALLY late at night when I sent the message.  The apartment we stayed in was clean and comfortable.  There is even an (ancient) elevator that we used for our heavy luggage.  Wonderful visit!

The property was very nicely decorated and had two gates for security. While there was no front desk, the on-site manager could be contacted through the host. There were some bugs but the on site manager left me a spray to use, so things were manageable. Great location to get to everywhere in Old San Juan.

Very nice apartment unit on the 3rd floor. We stayed at the Crystal Apartment. Because it is Old San Juan we could hear the people downstairs as there is a bar adjacent to this building, till the early hours of the morning but we knew that would be a possibility because of its location. The bedrooms, living area, kitchen/dining and bathroom were all really nicely decorated. Only thing was that I would suggest better Cleaning Staff, when we got in there was chewed gum placed on the wall behind the sofa and used dirty napkins inside one of the decorative pillows on the same.Aside from that it was a great place and also cute building for picture session inside and out.
