It was a nice room with a small balcony, a nice swimming pool with sunbeds, very clean, breakfast is quite unconventional and the bar is unsuitable for comfortable seating.

Nice city hotel.

Very nice little hotel in the capital of Santa Maria Island. Our room was on the roof with a balcony and side view of the sea. The rooms all go out to the pool side. The pool is warm, beds, umbrellas and towels are available sufficiently. From the hotel the fort and the port and the city center are easily accessible. The hotel can rent bicycles. The breakfast buffet offers everything that a good breakfast needs. The dinner alla Carte is very good. The staff is very friendly and hospitable.

Charming hotel in the city

Charming Blue is just charming! Our room was spacious and wonderful with a great balcony overlooking the pool, ocean, mountains (hills), etc. The staff was super helpful in suggesting activities and restaurants. The bar team made great drinks at reasonable prices. Breakfast was wonderful. The dinners in the restaurant could use a bit of help, but we understand the chef is new.

Would we stay here again? YES! You will like it. Chic......Charming......Cozy......just darn nice!

Nice hotel!

Charming environment, very well located, excellent service, quiet and comfortable, good for those who want to rest, good quality food, although it could be a little more varied and provide regional dishes for a perfect experience.

Cleanliness and Sympathy

We really loved everything about the Charming Blue!  The team they have there really made our stay lovely.  Thank you Pauline, Stephanie, Jorge and anyone else I forgot.  From the time we arrived everyone there was very helpful in setting up rentals to organizing rides to dinner reservations.

We are at the restaurant several times and found the food and local wines to be wonderful!!  We had some off timing as we were there for scuba diving and the staff was happy to accommodate date with a later then usual lunch and pre-made breakfast for an early morning out on another day.  If you are diving and plan to be on the boat before breakfast ask and they will made you a to-go breakfast for the next day.

Everything was truly lovely (room, location, relaxing and tranquil), very relaxing and we would absolutely stay here again!

The 'Charming Blue' is apparently one of the best hotel addresses in Vila do Porto, if not even in the whole island of Santa Maria. The building is modern and has been renovated with an eye for detail. The traditional history of the building, but also of the place - such as the lavender decorations on the interior facade - has been transformed with great taste. The service is very friendly, welcoming and helpful, although sometimes, especially at the reception, a little professionalism is lacking, which is compensated by a charming way. These rooms are sufficiently available, very clean and equipped with Wi-Fi.

Top of the line (with potential)

Just from the facade, we are in front of a Hotel of Charm and Harmony. The reception is excellent in friendliness and hospitality. Extra services facilities, rental of quality bicycles at a symbolic price for guests. Swimming pool, garden and restaurant. The rooms are warmly themed around the arts: writing, music, painting and sculpture... I highly recommend!

Warm charm in attendance and availability

Charming is quick to say!!!! The rooms are correct provided that you are not on the street side..otherwise the noise of the cars on the pavements will prevent you from sleeping (no double glazing of course), the pool is framed with concrete walls without any effort to decorate... this is not charming especially... the photos are misleading because the space is very small and to close the whole thing the boss has very little commercial sense!!! Very bad experience...

Not charming at all.

We spent a very pleasant week at the Charming Blue between morning dives and afternoon walks. The hotel is very well located in the centre of this small village. The hotel is perfect (arrangement, decoration, cleanliness). The place is very quiet with few rooms. The general atmosphere is friendly. The pool is very pleasant. The team is very attentive to give satisfaction, whether it is reception or catering. The breakfast is varied and very satisfying. Thank you to all the staff for this beautiful week.

Very pleasant hotel

I stayed for three days during a tour in the blue. Scenic hotel but, putroppo very lacking in breakfast!! small buffet with tray of salumi and cheese, open and almost empty marmalade dishes (one only) to end with acidic coffee in a really bad thermos
