We had a room with the sea view. When you enter the lobby everything is nice and it smells good. Outside they were busy with some touch ups of the building. After entering the room I was shocked. To our travel agency we asked luxery to end our holiday. The only luxery there was, was the sea view. The bathroom ceiling was full of mold, every time we entered our room we smelled the mold, it was terrible. Also the door of the bathroom was all cracked up probably because of the humidity in the bathroom. The bed is hard and cracks by every little movement. The walls are so thin that every time your neighbor says something you can join the conversation. The paint was getting off the wall at several places and rusty spots at a few places. The manager promised us to bring breakfast in the evening because we had to leave early the next morning for an activity. But she gave the housekeeping the wrong day, so we didn’t get the breakfast. We tried to call the manager Francisca 6 times during the day at several times to discuss our problems with the room but she didn’t answer the phone. Also our agency tried to call her twice and left a mail. The next day our agency arranged another hotel for us. The housekeeping showed us another room before we checked out. They cleaned another room for us, without mold in the bathroom. But for us it were already to many things and it was also my birthday so I was done with it. Honestly the only thing that was good in this hotel were the housekeeping twins, they were kind and really wanted to help us. 

Bad experience

This lodge is a true jewel, you don't need to look any further, just book it, and you will not have any regrets!! It's like a retreat - peaceful, superb views, comfortable rooms, and super friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend it!!!

Absolutely love it!!!

Everything was amazingly well prepared, organized and designed. We liked the check-in process (a detailed instruction was sent well in advance), the location (amazing view over the Atlantic Ocean, rather short ride from the town nearby and from PDL airport), the food (we used breakfast option - it was really plentiful and the quality of ingredients was very, very high), the hosts (we managed to meet them face to face - they were super nice folks who are really helpful).
The room was clean, the kitchen - well equipped, the atmosphere was outstanding. There was a swimming pool and sunbeds were available.
We will book here again in a heartbeat.

There is really nothing I would complain about. Maybe just a few points of advice for the hosts:
- replace single-unit shampoos with dispensers (will likely reduce unit price and it's more eco-friendly than a non-refillable plastic package)
- advertise the rooftop terrace better - we fond it by mistake, but it is of course something that I would consider a huge value for warm Summer nights.

We'll book again in a heartbeat

Very nice location, wonderful sea view, friendly and reserved service. Great swimming pool, you can get anywhere fast and still enjoy the tranquility. The possibility of renting bikes is fine, you can park the car safely. Anyone can book breakfast for it.

It's beautiful, you're fast everywhere.

On this new visit to the island of São Miguel I opted for an accommodation in the northern part of the island, where there are a variety of new accommodations. I confess that the booking was made solely through the photos provided by the accommodation, having not read any testimonies from former guests. At the time of booking, I checked that the breakfast request was high, so I did not opt for this option. Hours before checking in I received a message from the accommodation informing me of the access codes to the accommodation. It is a simple process, although I think the entrance door does not always open with ease. I take the opportunity to mention that there is an access to our garden/swimming room (and as a result of the guest rooms in the guest room) that was always available during the same night. However, I can't say for sure that the security of the guests has been checked during the check-in, but I did not have a chance to check the prices of the hotel at the time of the check-in, and I did not have a chance to check out, but at the time of checking

Mix of emotions

I would recommend to anyone who wants a quieter vacation with an excellent view of the sea. Our apartment (besides being well equipped and decorated) had an amazing balcony with a spectacular view of the sea. Breakfast is left in the rooms in baskets and the bread was always warm and regional products such as yogurts are provided.

Modern and exclusive

This property is amazing - beautiful views, private location, relaxing suites. Everything is self-accessible through lock boxes, emphasizing the privacy and solitude of the property. A car is a must to access this property, as well as to get anywhere else for meals or activities. Host is very nice and accessible through messaging if needed. 

We stayed in the Boca Negra suite which was upstairs, at the end / on the corner, with an amazing 180* balcony view of the water and up the coast. Rooms are spacious and decorated with a minimalistic design style. There is a pool behind the property, as well as a rooftop balcony, available for all guests. I would have loved to stay here for a full week in the summer with nothing but a good book and some wine!

Beautiful private oasis

The apartments have a kitchen, they're very clean. our apartment had an exit from the terrace to the pool. I want to review the kindness of the staff. charming. to repeat the truth.

Room with stunning sea view, above the sea, tastefully decorated, spacious, clean, good breakfast delivered in the room, the loaves were coming hot, finished, repeated.

Surprised by the positive!

The apartment is perfectly organized in a complex with swimming pool and barbecue.There was no need for the owner to come as he has a password system to open the doors.Spacious, clean and beach-style.We loved the facility, access and the sea view from the terrace.
