Quinta do Ervedal

If you're looking for somewhere to unwind, I doubt you'll find anywhere as peaceful around the area. It's the silence we've enjoyed the most, followed by the amazing views of the High Douro valley. Our room was in a 17th century outbuilding used by Santiago pilgrims - it was quirky with the exposed stone that we love, but also immaculately clean and comfortable (no TV and poor WiFi connection but that doesn't bother us). Breakfast was at the main house and I especially loved the fresh orange juice made every morning with the many oranges that grow in the farm. The pool was surrounded by trees and its water sparkling clean. Toilet facilities nearby. The hosts Isabel and Henrique were welcoming and helpful! Isabel suggested a few restaurants in the area and so glad she did! Thank you for making our stay so easy and peaceful.
