Had a great time in Olhos and stayed at mccaigs apartments very spacious apartments ideally situated lovely surroundings  with pool ,bbq area, washing facilities  and drying area and Michelle  and Ian were such lovely people and so friendly and this made for a great holiday  thank you xxx

Holiday

We had a lovely holiday, due to the weather being alot better than expected. So grateful it was as this meant we didn't have to spend alot of time in the apartment!

It was freezing cold, evening with heaters, it was damp everywhere and smelt of damp. 
Mould in the drawers and wardrobe so had to live out of our suitcases.
The kitchen cupboards stunk of damp and I refused to put any food inside them. 
Bathroom also mouldy and dirty.

No hot tub!

Swimming pool was dirty and not in use even though when booked it said heated pool that can be used all year round.

Owners lovely but like talking about other guests too much, I couldn't help but wonder what they were saying about us.

I left the apartment alot cleaner than we found it. 

I can't complain too much as the room was so cheap, but I dont expect mould in a room. 
I do expect cleanliness.

Wouldn't really recommend unless some money had been spent on the apartments and everything being available that is advertised. 

I think the owners have lost heart as he said it was up for sale.


Christmas & New Year

This could be a fabulous villa/apartments in a lovely position.  The owners are great and really friendly. We had the whole of the second floor which is very spacious and has so much potential. It is all in need of an update. Including the Website as there is now no hot tub. Not a good idea to say all bedding to be removed from beds. This showed up stained pillows and mildew on mattress.  Such a shame . As there is so much space here for improvement.

Good. BUT.

We stayed there for 4 nights in the beginning of November. Our appartment was nice and clean with everything you need in. The owners're very friendly. There's a beach nearby, just ab 10-15 mins walk, +a food supermarket. I'd definitely recommend this place:-) 

Lovely place!

We booked to stay at McCaigs apartments and although upon our arrival their was a misunderstanding Ian the owner rectified the situation promptly. We were allotted apartment number 4 and I would say that although it is spacious it was in need of some maintenance work. The setting is nice and quiet with only a short walk to the amenities and beach area. The owners Ian and Michelle were very pleasant and helpful people. 

Very nice people at McCaigs apartments. 

Back too my second home last week in June and catch up with hosts Ian and Michelle who have become our friends who organise our transfers nothing his too much trouble for these 2= if they can do anything too help your stay they will and as for Olhos da Agua it’s my favourite place in the world 

3rd year on trot

In response to the previous comment, if we have to admit something, it is that we are guilty of having a 4-month-old baby and arriving at 9:30 pm, entrance was from 6 pm, however that wasn't the problem because you let us follow the parking lot without a problem, indeed it was a dark and secluded place that we had to find, so I asked my husband to get my car, we were coming from a long trip and I wanted to pick up my baby, impossible to come from Spain with two cars and a driver, when you have prejudices about things where there aren't.

A fearful experience.

Regented by an Englishman left us on the street with a four-month-old baby. With the hotel paid we have the option to enter the dark chalet and away from the village and we are told in English that we have reserved only for 6 people and it is angry because we are 4 adults and 2 children, one 5 years old and the other 16.

They won't leave a four-month-old baby on the street.

The apartments in this villa are delicious, large furnished with all the equipment for cooking, large and comfortable beds. Our apartment could accommodate up to 5 people and the price was good (in the week of February in 4 we spent about 30€ per night). The owners are very kind and always available to give information about things to see in the area.
