Hotel Wentzl 

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Wenzel, our experience was nothing short of outstanding. The hotel is perfectly located right on Kraków’s main square, meaning you are quite literally in the heart of everything – restaurants, history, atmosphere – all on your doorstep. A huge mention must go to the staff, particularly Gregory on reception, who was absolutely first-class. His local knowledge was invaluable: recommending excellent restaurants, organising trips, and generally making sure our stay was seamless. There was also another gentleman on reception whose name we didn’t catch, but he was equally helpful, friendly, and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them. The hotel arranged our airport transfer, and despite our flight being delayed due to customs queues, the driver was still there waiting for us. On departure, they again organised our taxi back to the airport, perfectly on time. Stress-free travel at its best. Hotel Wenzel also organised several tours for us, including Auschwitz and Birkenau, the Schindler Factory Museum, the Ghetto and Jewish Quarter walking tour, and the Salt Mine tour. One particular highlight was the guided Jewish Quarter and ghetto walk, where a knowledgeable guide met us at the hotel, walked us through the area, and took us directly to Schindler’s Factory for the museum tour. Exceptionally well organised and deeply moving. The breakfast deserves special praise — genuinely one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had, and I’ve stayed in many hotels. The choice was extensive, the quality excellent, and everything beautifully presented. Quite simply, anything and everything you could want. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean throughout. Our room was beautiful, with a charming old Georgian-style elegance, stunning décor, and a luxurious bathroom and shower. The attention to detail was evident everywhere. The hotel also owns a restaurant next door, which serves fantastic food — extremely convenient and very high quality. I honestly cannot praise Hotel Wenzel highly enough. Outstanding staff, superb location, immaculate rooms, exceptional breakfast, and flawless organisation throughout our stay. You will not be disappointed if you book this hotel. We certainly wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Kraków.
