The Clipper Hotel, Makati

It looks shabby on the outside but the art deco charm inside is hard to fault.

The location is very good, close to the restaurants and malls.Hotel staff are very very friendly and nice. I would recommend this hotel for everyone. I will coming back again to The Clipper house hotel..

Nice and quiet hotel. Very friendly guest hotel

We enjoyed our short stay at The Clipper Hotel which was recommended by friends. Check in was seamless and Jena the front desk person and all around multitasker was extremely helpful, polite and friendly. All of the staff were accessible when needed. The room was huge enough to do my daily exercise routine and was cleaned thoroughly upon arrival. Bathroom was also large.  I had the corner unit which included a full size frig and microwave, safe and tv (channels were all local). There are many restaurants and pubs, coffee houses, 7-11’s just a few steps away so you will not be short of dining choices. It was easy to call a Grab ride to take out outside of the Poblacion area. The cons were the shower pressure was weak although the water was hot! And it is quite noisy especially at night to be expected as this is the nightlife area. But it was okay for us. Would definitely stay there again and recommend

Active night life for those that want it!

Last minute check in and place went beyond my expectations. Been curios about staying here ever since and was genuinely happy they were able to survive the pandemic.  

Great value for money, room and bathroom were clean. Tv was working properly.
Bed is comfortable.  Receptionist was very accommodating too!

Nearby poblacion area with the latest restos and party places. Would recommend for those who appreciate and respect historical landmarks in the metro 🤍

Rooms are great clean and large plenty of room. Service and cleanliness is great. I'm fussy and this hotel ticks every box you will be feel like your at home. Also in a great location away  from the main roads and traffic but close enough to everything

It was a pleasurable experience to stay at the Clippers hotel. It was very close to where our venue was. It’s a home away from home.

The staffs are very approachable and accomodating.The room was excellent in cleaniliness with complete set of appliances.Very cozy and convenient,a lot of food shops nearby.All in all,best place to stay when your in Manila!.Most recommended!Hope to stay there again.

We both appreciated the good accomodation, despite of the changes regarding the requirements due to covid 19. Apart from it, the place was big and clean and our requests were well acknowledged on the side of the necessities. In addition, we have also admired how safe and quiet the place is and the surroundings which was conducive enough to accomplish our review and to be rested as well. Thankyou very much! 😊😊😊

It’s a good location if you’re looking for that night life.  For me I was just looking for something cheap and in the middle of everything no not so far from the airport.  The price is okay for what you get.   My only recommendation would be for the property to invest in new towels.  I did have to air dry.  Staff was nice, place is clean and safe. So yeah just better towels if you can.

Oldie but  goodie

Stayed at the property last Nov. 9 to 12, 2021. Location is good as it is within Makati CBD. Red lane part of the area can be avoided by traversing a different street. The staff are responsive, courteous, and accommodating to concerns. Convenient stores are close by as well as different dining establishments. Security monitoring is good as well. The place seemed sanitized with available alcohol/disinfectant along the halls. The room is spacious with available furnishing/appliances. Wifi speed is ok. Hot water for shower is available. Outside noise is reduced from the inside.

A bit of a personal nitpicking: 
1. TV cable/black box setup is a bit erratic. Didn't watch on it anyways.
2. Lacking white light. Lights inside the room are yellow. Window is big though and can accommodate the daylight.
3. No bidet. Hehe

Great Stay Overall

Unexpected.

Me and my son stayed here for 10days.The place is clean,  quiet , good enough for the purpose of my exam review .Internet access is good.It is near the shopping malls.(can google it, forgot the name of the malls).There is a mini stopshop just a walking distance from the hotel.Easy access  for a grab ride.The staffs are kind , and accessible at all times when you need assistance.I suggest to have at least a microwave inside each room for I need to call assistance each time time I need to warm my food. Additional cleaning service is included in the fee for about 2k I think and I utilized it just once .I requested for another cleaning service but staff says service is only once. Upon checked in , you need to pay 2k deposit but it is refundable when you check out.

Our 10days stay

Stayed 3 nights here recently just had standard room on the first floor .you and just off p.burgos st you have a money changer and family mart very close and then there is all the clubs and night life. The hotel is reasonably comfortable the aircon works well the king bed is actually 2 beds pushed together but did the job.recption is 24 hours and security is good you have to ring a bell to get let in.no problem taking friends back with you great location and friendly staff i would stay again 

Good location 

I had another great stay at the Clipper hotel! The room was very clean and comfortable. The room size was perfect for me. The front desk was very helpful. Chianna at the front desk was great. Housekeeping was superb. The lady who makes breakfast makes a great omelet. Great staff and my favorite hotel in Makati.

I am from New Zealand, travelling through the Philippines with my two Filipino friends. The Clipper Hotel was a one night stopover for us as we passed through Makati to another part of Metro Manila. We found The Clipper a warmly welcoming and pristinely clean hotel. All the staff were so friendly and very helpful - and the 10% discount off drinks at their bar was an added bonus. It's location was wonderfully central and convenient to many amenities.

Great Place

We were early there and the lady at front desk allowed us to check in once the room was available.  It was very kind and sweet.Hot water of shower was provided via solar energy.  Better to take shower early if enjoying hot shower.  The towels we got were thin and old.  Better to bring your own if you care.
