Rainforest Beach Hotel

Originally we booked for 5 days in this hotel and extended into 7days. Staff are accomodating and even the manager assist as very well. They arrange everything for us, transpo,  tours, and our special breakfast.  Water is clean, im not sure why does other had a bad comment but maybe it was way long ago. Hahaha. We booked a room with jacussi facing the beach ehich is really great specially in the morning.  Smell very fresh with the sea breeze. We stayed in jacussi early in the morning and finishing our day in the same spot after the tours.  With wine an pizza from our neighbors. I found this please comfortable a cozy. I dont expected a city hotel since i am in a small town. Thats why we are taking a vacation to take a rest from noisy city.  We really enjoy the swiftlets and sea 'voices'hahaha.  Will difinitely comeback by next month together with my family.,, I WILL RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Stayed in room 4 closer to Router for WIFi, Wifi was good.
Great balcony to sit and look at amazing view, great location.
Staff very helpful and pleasant and most of we had hot and cold water and a toilet that flushed, aircon was great.

We arrived December 30th for a week’s stay in one of the rooms with the jacuzzi tub on the balcony. We were given room 202 and on the first night we noticed the room safe was locked so we couldn’t store valuables and also the jacuzzi didn’t work. The front desk said the people in 201 were leaving the next day and we could move into that room. The next day we moved over and since then everything has been great. The hotel itself is right in the center of town with Saya bar to our left and Pukka bar to our right. I’m not sure what all the bad reviews are about unless the reviewers are expecting a western hotel in the middle of a small beach town. 
Notes: hot water is a solar system on the roof... want a hot shower? Wait until 3pm
The jacuzzi tub will take 60 minutes to fill... start the water and go get a beer or two ;)
Even though the bars are close by you don’t hear anything unless you’re out on the balcony

Very good

PRO: Great front desk staff, will do whats you ask them. Safe and on the water. Second floor rooms are awesome BUT cost a lot more than main floor rooms.  
The property is located on the beach, this is great, safe also. 

CONS:  We requested two rooms, one family (rm #1) and one double (rm #5). The family room water heater barely worked it also leaked, the room smell musty (mold) and smelled like an open sewer, lots of ants and mosquito. The manager did not want to talk to us face to face regarding relocating to another family room but instead offered an upgrade to the second floor with an up-charge. Allegedly all family rooms on the main floor were taken but the second floor rooms were premium rooms. Occupants of rm #1 stayed for 4 days and tolerated the nasty smell of the room. The double room (rm 3) AC was warm and noisy, the toilet flushed once and did not fill back up with water. We were moved to an adjacent room (rm 5) but it also smelled like sewer and the AC did not work, the celing fan was noisy. After lots of negotiations with the front desk personnel and lots of telephone calls between the manager (who never showed up) and front desk staff, we were move to the second floor free of charge, it was a great room. Thank you front desk staff. 

TIP in selecting rooms: DO NOT BOOK a room on the first floor, they are below standards unless you do not care about noisy and warm AC system, noisy ceiling fan and rooms smelling like sewer and mold with some ants and mosquito in it.

Pre Christmas Vacation 2018

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We are however disturbed with the ongoing construction noises from its neighboring structures and from its third floor renovation. Overall, great for the price!!!!!!

Pukpuk Martilyo Everywhere

location is in beachfront, we booked the beachfront room with jacuzzi. room was ok with unlimited coffee. room was clean but water is dirty. staff is very friendly and accomdating. This seems more like a hostel than a resor

Booked a room & when we arrived it was so disgusting and had no windows. We then upgraded to the beach view room so we could at least get some bay windows to air out the cigarette smoke and musty mildew. This place is simply gross, and massively overpriced comparatively. 
Staff isn’t friendly, EVERYTHING is dirty (sheets, pillows, towels, curtains, mirrors, floor, etc.), one of the few hotels without a generator (frequent power outages), few outlets & basically no wifi, little to no water pressure. This was a complete disappointment. Save yourself the high price and sleep in a dumpster - There will be less bugs.

The only good thing about this hotel is the central and beachside location. Everything else is really bad there: The whole stuff is extremely unfriendly and not helpful. The rooms are dirty and loud. The Wifi didn't really work for the whole time. We stayed 3 nights and would never come back again.
